So my truck has a pretty bad paint issue. There are little white spots EVERYWHERE except the tailgate (replaced one month after truck purchased new). Looks like the clear coat to me and it's all over the truck. I tried polishing it out which did nothing so I may need to get more aggressive. Suggestions? Anyone else have this issue? I'll see if I can take a pic this evening when the sun goes down (easier to see in the dark with a light).

Yup, used clay bar. Roof is way worse than elsewhere, if that matters. I wax about every 3-6 months lately but this has been getting worse the last couple years.

It has to be the clear peeling and popping. Unfortunately the only for that is a repaint.

My buddies '12 has the same issues as you described. His rig is black. He took it to the dealer and they told him the individual who handles the paint issues comes once very 3 months (BS in my opinion). Good luck.

Take it to a reputable paint/collision center - perhaps they will know??

Also, Check to see what paints the shops are using (i.e. Dupont ? ) then call up the local paint distributor and see if they have a local rep you can make an appointment with??

Finally got around to posting a pic. Link is to my gallery, on my phone so can't get it to post up here.

Bottom line, I just washe, used Tarminator, washed, clay barred, washed, Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, and then Mother's Carnuba wax. This crap is either in the paint or it's the clear coat itself that's jacked up. I believe it's the clear coat like ntilehman suggested above.

Eff it. I'm keeping the truck for the long haul (I bought it new in '07) and it doesn't have to be a beauty queen. I'm about to pull the trigger on an '08 350Z, a car I've always wanted. I may check in with the Toyota dealer and see what they say, though.

Does the dots go into the paint or out of the paint? When did you first notice the spots?

When the tailgate was replaced - who painted it? OEM, Dealer or private shop??

Looks like the truck has the measles ???
