I wasn't talking about 300. I only wanted to shoot my 270 @ 300 because that's likley a distance I wil be shooting in the area we are hunting. 300 or less.

 

Either way I'll shoot with you on Tuesday. I have to re sight my 300. I had to take my scope off and remount it again.

Aaron did you put a scope on your 308 yet?

 

Wait times are quite a bit lower now to where the difference is negligible. A month or two more at most these days and the times are coming down every day as they get all the new examiners up to speed on work-load. It's also worth noting that with eFile if you get rejected not only do you NOT get a reason (not very good if you felt you filled it out right in the first place) but you also have to refile from scratch. Back to the beginning of the queue. If it gets kicked back with filing personal you get an explanation and when you send it back you get your place back in line and generally get approved in about a week from receipt. Like I said, if the CLEO will sign-off then it's not worth the extra steps IMO.

 

Yeah the e file forum's have been having quick turn arounds.

 

Still looking them....I think I know what I want.

 

Paper forms are coming down a lot too. My last one was back in my hands in less than 6mos. I had two that I sent in like 4mos earlier that took 8mos so that was a pretty good decrease just between those. I have a 22LR suppressor that should be to my local NFA dealer any day now and I suspect it won't take much more than 5mos or possibly even less. Waiting on an MP5k pistol that I'm going to SBR along with my PAP M92 so I can put stocks & foregrips after that. I'm hoping it will take even less but as long as I've been doing NFA items I've gotten pretty good at paying for them, filling out the paperwork and then completely forgetting about them until one day I have a happy trip to the mailbox. So to me it doesn't really matter if it's 4mos or 2 years. I don't really need any of the NFA items I'm waiting for so it's not the end of the world either way.

Another .308 now you have to buy two scopes? I like the tika though for sure. Let's shoot Tuesday, some where close. I have to get my 300 up to par so I have options this year hunting.
