I paid $3k for my '97 and it only had 125,895 on it. Just about all stock, but a custom rack in the back, modded stereo with an aux port. Super clean inside and out. Been loving it. Of course my Camry and my daughter's CRV had had problems, so all my money (lots of it) have been going to those instead of this Taco.

That sounds correct did you test off the battery sans relay?

I could try bypassing the relay tomorrow by cutting the power wire and sending direct to lights. Good thought.ight look a little ugly afterwards but who's gonna know :)

    Removed wheel covers
I yanked off the ugly 90's styled wheel covers from my newly inherited 98 extended cab. Black truck. Black steel wheels. Looks good.

It would be a bit of work but it would be really easy to take off the door cards, reinforce 'em and sew molle webbing into the fabric. Planning on doing it for the back wall of the extra cab

Haha I snorted milk at that... Yes I did take the covers off. Turns out that the switch doesn't work the way I thought and it needs to have power to send an impulse. Gonna try it out in a bit.

I swapped in buckets from a Suzuki Reno. Junkyard find for cheap. They are comfy and durable. I cut the brackets off the stock seats and welded them to the Reno seats so they bolted back in like they were stock.

So since my rack replacement a while back my steering wheel has been a lil crooked. Gonna pop it off and move it a few splines where shaft and rack meet. Question is which part do I undo? The column shaft seems to have a flat side or grooved so don't think it will be able to move a few splines over.

I would think its the bottom single bolt holding the assembly on the rack shaft. I loosened it but it didn't want to budge and I was sure how much play or didn't wanna break it from banging it
