Slow and steady wins this race Charlie.
You need to forget everything and work on yourself.
I had to go through it.
    Time stands still.

    Charlie:
Keep resting and doing the physical therapy your doctor wants you to do. Maybe stream a few movies today if you are set up for that type of service. Being a couch potato is no fun for me so I guess it is hard for you as well.

I need to go over to our neighbors home and look at a phone static problem they are having. Both are in their 80's and watch our cat when we go in vacation.

I am feeling a lot better about meeting with the kitchen contractors on Monday. I keep adding questions to one list and tasks to be done on a second list.

Another one. Just overhauled my '97 Taco. Gonna keep it another 100K now. I don't think of it as a kids truck. Besides it's a 5-speed and half the kids can't drive one.

Welcome! Newbie buys. Cooler's over there. ->

I don't think of the Taco as a kid's truck either, and to be honest I dont' think it really has that rep here. I intend to keep mine until it rusts out from under me. I have to admit that I intentionally got an auto; I intend to tow with it, might plow snow with it, and both go better with a slushbox. (It's the second non-manual transmission I've ever owned.)

    Evening all:
Just thinking how to get someone to trade their new Browning OU, for my Kassnar OU. :D Actually I do like the Kassnar, and used it for turkeys before buying the 870 Super Mag.

    Hang in there Charlie!

    Welcome Mitch!

    What a nice ride...
Actually had some elderly man talk to me at a stop light.
You know ,, nice bike ,, and i remember when,,,
Elderly,, lol must have been about 80.
    He was pretty sharp.
    Anyway some entertainment for you.
So i decided it was time to swap my new JD over to winter mode.
I figured a couple of hours.
    WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Try 7 hours.
So i pulled off the deck to service it and put it away.
AHHHH that dam hose squirter DOESN'T WORK.
I think it actually makes grass into glue. (pic one)
Scraped the hell out of it and had to bring the pressure washer out of storage. Yea 2 hours later its done and fluid filmed (pic 2)

OK lets get the blower on.
Not to bad. got it half on and then mounted the cab.
Got it on by myself. a little tricky and another person would have taken no time. Got the cab stretched over the pedals and secured.
Ran the left chute controls through the cab. Lift handle is run by sticking your arm through a slot in the cab.

    changed the oil and filter.
    Now the %$%^^&%$^%^&^&(){*(^&%@#$))) CHAINS.
I have never in my life had such an issue. i have put chains on all my life and these would not fit right.
So after an hour i stepped back and threw them on the workbench.
Then the light bulb went off.
Can you see the problem ( pic 3)

3 of the cross links are jammed in between the chain instead of being on the outside.
I had to take the chains apart and rebuild the chain set.
    BOTH SIDES..
So now after that a little over 20 min to install with bungy cords to help keep them tight while they work in. I'm very particular on how i do chains and i just might get another tire wheel set up and custom install the chains on those. They need 2 more cross links to be even so just changing the tires is a lot easier. Pic 4 is the girl ready to go. 7 hours total.
Not what i had planned but i'm glad i did it now to sort out the bugs instead of trying to do it the day before a snow storm.
That's my story and i'm stickin to it... roflmao

That sounds like what happens to me when I do any work :anonymous: a 20 minute job takes an hour.

:yay: for getting ready for a storm now!!!

Evening folks. Brought some shine over:D

Rebuilt my deck last year. Idk why thru this drought. 13 yo craftsman still runs strong. Auto trans 48" deck. Ended up getting a new one even tho the old one still runs without hood and keeps breaking a deck height bracket at 15$ a pop plus shipping.
New one seems faster but won't let you put in reverse with the blade going. Kills engine. Need to find that switch big time and bypass. I know why it's there after seeing and hearing neighbors running theirs.
Finally getting some rain. Time to run them both.

    Anybody race karts here?

    Shine ??????
    I don't have a alky motor so that's worthless. :D
My craftsman was 20 years old. The only reason I got rid of it was because it was 20 years old and I lost my plow truck.
So I got my JD . Hope I made the right decision.
No kart racers that I know of.
Drag racers, road course. I think a lawn mower or two.
I don't think anyone here can bend down far enough to get in one.
