Invest in seat covers and slider with skateboard tape on top (for you to step on)

Been a few pages, but just wanted to respond. No, not my ride there. I am in the process of searching for my next bike. Haven't had one for quite a while now. I am looking at either a Fat Boy, Fatboy Lo, or perhaps a Softail Deluxe. I like each bike really. Preference would be a Fatboy, but I am not locked into it.

The main reason I never have, or never will own an 883 is that they are not very comfortable. They beat you up on the highway, and always have. The "girl bike" adage came about many years ago because for the longest time the 883 was the bike that most women would buy, because if they laid it over it was much easier for them to raise it back up on their own. It's such a simplistic bike. I have rode many different bikes, and when I do ride, it is a lot of highway and long runs. for that you really need a 1200 at least.

I had a neighbor who bought an 883 when I was living in Deltona, Florida. I told him when I first came over and we were talking about it that within a month he was going to want to step up to a 1200. He was set that he was going to ride that 883 until the wheels fell off. 2 weeks later he went on a ride with some friends. They did somewhere around 250 miles that day all over the coast. When he came home that afternoon he had stopped by and traded the 883 in for a 1200. Told me that his back just couldn't handle the long rides in the 883.

I am a cruiser. And I don't mean I want to ride the big Street Glide or Road King. I mean when I ride, I like to RIDE. I may be gone for a few hours, or I may not come home until the next day. I want a bike that isn't going to beat me to death riding it. Sure the crotch rockets look cool and everything, but I have no interest in trying to ride one of those things for 4, 5, or 6 hours.

Yeah, like I said, the iron 883 isn't my first choice, but it's cheap, won't get me in trouble...a lot, plus I know a guy who told me he'd put the 1200 kit on it for free. My dream bike is a fatboy, but at $17,000 I can't justify paying what could be a car payment on a bike, at least right now.

My mom has a 2011 Street Bob and my stepdad has a 2011 Street Glide, both really nice bikes. Hopefully I'll have something by next year so I can ride out to sturgis for the 75th! :D

Oh I didn't even know words were censored on here. It's just the funny way to spell it that everyone on the bodybuilding forum uses.

Guys I have a confession. Redheaded girls are my ultimate weakness. Like every time I walk past one on campus I'm just drool. I swear I need to find me a redhead.
