I think the marking on the tree is Gareth and co. tracking Rick and group. It looked like Gareth was hit in the mid-section on the roof from Rick. It seems like that marking on the dude's head and the tree are similar..hard to tell on his face because it's so small. But, my guess is that it's used to mark their property. I don't recall ever seeing that symbol in Terminus before but maybe someone can find somewhere it was posted or drawn. Since that guy in the container was in their compound and, I assume, their property, it's safe to connect the two.

Is the Detroit tigers fan with no friends dead? We can't confirm. Tyreese kept saying, "I won't!" over and over. So did he or didn't he? No other character went in to confirm. He stopped Carol from going in. So is it possible that he beat him within an inch of his life, but he's still in that cabin, regaining consciousness and plotting revenge?

Also, found it weird that Rick and that blonde kid in the beginning we exchanging looks for so long before he was killed and tried to remember who he was..good ole interwebs:

That's actually Sam, who Rick and Carol came across (with his girlfriend) in the episode early last season where Rick banished Carol. Rick gave Sam his watch and told him and the girl to meet him and Carol in an hour. They never showed up again, but Rick and Carol saw walkers eating Sam's girlfriend, so they expected the worst. Looks like Sam was snapped up by the Termites -- and his/Rick's watch is the one Carol was studying in the Terminus storage unit."

Tyreese told Carol he killed him, didn't he? After Carol went in to kill him for threatening the baby?

 

When they went back to get the bag , Daryl did point at a tree then grabbed the shovel from it's base , I'll have to watch it again

I was thinking that since Daryl is good tracker that maybe he recognized that surroundings/area. He did point to the tree though, however, you don't see the other side of it so it could be that they marked it. I can't remember if last seasons finale showed them marking a tree or not before or after they buried the bag. I can see the RR crossing sign though. It could be marked to show a way to another track that intercepts the others at Terminus in case they run into trouble while following one track.
