Gotcha. Cool man. I guess that's all I'm looking for is that it drives like stock again. Hope you get better soon. Give an update on the gears when you get to cruise around a little bit more.

2 weeks off of work? Or just 2 weeks of no driving? If you weren't recovering from surgery id bother you to come over and drill the holes for my sliders.

    thanks!

If you're around this weekend you could come by and ill give you a hand. I'll work the floor jack and you do the drilling.

    Thanks again bud!

So I finally got to drive the truck again. My gf finished breaking in the gears while I was recovering so now I can get on the throttle without worry. Feels great. Feels like driving a stock truck with no extra weight. I'm really happy with how it drives now, I just can't wait to see how the cruise control works now.

    Thanks !

If you're handy but don't know how to set up gears, I reccomend east coast gear supply. You can either ship them your diffs and they'll regear them and send them back to you, or they can send you already regeared ones and you just send back your old ones. The installation really isn't that bad, just a full days work. There are how to threads on here and on ecgs's website.

    Finished my bed rack yesterday-

Need to change the engine oil and spark plugs today. Going to change the rear diff gear oil, transfercase gear oil, and transmission fluid in a few hundred miles. Then after I break in the front diff gears a few times Ill change the gear oil in there too.

Changed the tie rods a couple weeks ago and now my alignment is off... Idk why, I measured the old ones and set the new ones to exactly the same length. Haven't messed with anything else that should affect alignment but the wheel is turned while going straight, and I rub the frame where I wasn't before... :notsure:

    Bedrack looks good!

Did you count the turns when you took the old tie rod end off and new one on? Either way, an alignment should handle it

No you can't go by turns because they aren't guaranteed to have the same thread pitch as the old ones. I just measured with a tape measure from the outside edge of the inner to the outside edge of the outer. Got them exact so I don't understand why the alignment was affected.
