I was thinking both Wobble and Negative1 were both running the 12.50's prior to going with aftermarket UCA's but I could be mistaken on that. Maybe one of those guys can chime in and verify one way or another.

If Wobble cut his cab mounts I'm unaware. Ive talked to him a few times and I've never heard him say anything that, Only the UCAs. As for negative1 i ain't sure. Maybe they'll throw in their 2 cents.

I did not cut my cab mounts. I did put UCAs in to correct caster, which ended up moving the tires closer to the fender though. I've only done light trimming on plastic.

I did rub once off-road at hard left turn, but was going way too fast into a hole I didn't see. Not sure where it rubbed, but that was the only time it has. I do quite a bit of flexing while playing around in the hills.

This is the only thing I trimmed.

The key to no rubbing is as much caster as possible.
The difference between people rubbing with smaller tires like 285 and those running larger with no issue may have a lot to do with proper alignment.
When I first installed the lift and before the alignment running 285/70/17 there was rubbing allover the place.
When truck was aligned I had asked for the caster to be set as high as possible above 3 they set my caster around 1 something and said it was within factory specs, I asked them does the truck look factory? and to realign with what was asked for. Currently Im sitting around 3.2 and have no issues but I'm also running Icon UCA and there coilovers.

The wider the rim and/or tire, the worse it'll be. And yes, proper alignment is important. This generation Tacoma, hell the entire current Toyota Truck lineup has the most narrow wheel well space since it's inception. 1984-95' gen had the most wheel well clearance.

May be sooner than you think ... I told myself I wasn't doing anything to mine till I paid it off. Now here I am 3 months later with a lift waiting to be put on, rims/ tires ordered, and a 30" light bar lmao I blame this website :smash:

I'd like to get an opinion from some of you that are running M/T's. Is there a noticeable difference in the noise in comparison to the A/T's and how about gas mileage as well? I would like to go with 33x12.50's in an A/T however it looks like the only option I have for that would be a General Grabber. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I run the KM2's and they are pretty quite, slightly louder than the AT's.
    Gas milage? who cares.

I'm still on stock UCA's and no cab mount chop.
12.5 wide tire fits fine. The only thing I needed to do was use a heat gun to melt a little of the plastic fender well ever so slightly where it rubbed.

2011supercoma is running 35s with 883 coils but from what he told me he can't flex much without rubbing.
