Yes, I agree that it is good to keep one around. I have a Kukri in my GHB in the truck for that purpose, though.
My EDC knife's just a Buck folder, I think it's called a Rush?

    Gotcha.
I just got new front leaves for the Dodge yesterday. I'm looking forward to installing them this weekend, along with new manual locking hubs, front brakes, and front shocks. After that she should be ready for plow season.
    What'd you get for springs?

Ugh. Tell me about it. 30 year old truck in Maine. Talk about rust...
I've been soaking everything in PB Blaster for the last month or so, but I'll probably still have to grind some of the old parts off.

    Hopefully your leaves unbolt easy.

Yeah, the black oxide on it. I haven't bought another color finished knife since that Gerber because it didn't hold up. (The finish, not the knife itself). Appearance isn't the most important factor, obviously, but I like to keep my EDC knife looking at least kind of nice. Stainless polishes up in good shape, but I can't fix scratches in the finish. Just a personal niggle. :notsure:

That's cool that you live so close to them. Do they do factory tours? I bet that'd be neat to see...

Edit: here's my EDC buck. I'd link directly to Buck's site, but they changed the frame design on the new ones and mine's an older model.

Has anyone seen a recovery strap that has a hook on one end and a loop on the other?
Fire marshal pulled dad out of a ditch the Sunday and he had recovery straps that were about 4' long and hook on one end and loop on the other, he didn't know the brand, they weren't marked and they were supplied to him.

Four feet? That seems awfully short...

You could always just take a clevis ring and add a hook to your looped tow strap. I have that setup on mine. Then I can swap loops for hooks and vice versa as needed.

Yeah, he carries 5 with him and puts them together as needed.
I like how compact they are and you can adjust the lenght.

    Yeah

Lol I never said that I try and sleep with my friends ex's. I'm just saying if two adults break up who is the one to control what the other does? I'll agree it is a bit sketchy but I mean if you dump her/ she dumps you then its over right? Why be protective about it. Glad your keyboard cowboy act is back though, always entertaining to have someone judge someone that they haven't ever met! haha :)

I had two friends hook up with past exes. Never bothered me, but i never had real feelings about them either they were just hook ups. I thought it was funnier than anything else

Right? I have had a couple friends ask about "hooking up" with exs. I just tell them go for it lol.

Not sure about the rest of it.
