He'll no. I can drive in adverse conditions. I do miss my lsd though. Open unlocked rears suck in onroad snow. Used 4x4 a ton more starting off than I used to when I had lsd.

    One in the rear.

Not hooked up to anything. Got it and the compressor for cheap used almost this exact time last year before my buddy traded in his taco. Now there is a 2011 floating around somewhere with a 08' mechanical LSD with a shitty clutch pack and over 90k on it....

Front will get ordered as soon as I get my end of year bonus (really a guarantee).

Ill never get rid of my 373's.

All the guys around here have re-geared for rock crawling and 35" tires even though we have no rocks or mountains.

373's are perfect for our regional conditions even with 35's IMHO. No one needs torque in sand, mud, and snow. I never even use 4L unless I'm descending slick hills. Those low gears just dig holes to China around here.

I also enjoy driving much faster than 65mph onroad...heck I was doing 70 in the trials last weekend when I was checking my suspension travel and breaking in my leaf pack.

To each their own I suppose

Interesting. I use 4L all the time when climbing hills with ton of rocks. What i have experienced in the sand and snow that 3.73 are to high to get anywhere. I was always fighting in 4h from 1st gear to 2nd gear. 1st gear was to much and 2nd gear was not enough. I am on 315/70/17 so not quite a dirty five.

I was really worried about burning up the trans since i was on 3.73.

When I got new gears it felt like I was driving a whole new truck. :bananadance:

Yeah I use 4 lo a lot more now. I think its because of the manual trans. THe autos have it a lot easier.

I feel the same way in the dunes. 1st is too much and 2nd is not enough... And I'm rocking 4.88's haha. I am an auto though and my gears are more spaced out than the manual's.

With 3.73's in the rocks my auto did just fine even in 4Hi, with the 4.88's I feel like I have amazing throttle control in the rocks now! But that is Apples to Oranges to you guys.

It is really funny when you are in 4lo going from 1st to 2nd and you can be practically stopped to throw it in gear and go.

Yea 4.56 gears is way to fast on the rock with the manual. I still need to invest in a marlin crawler and Sas. Then my truck is done. :bananadance:

You haz the manual slushbox. Us Auto guys don't have those weird gear spacings. I hate driving behind a stick shift 2nd gen. Dam difference in gearing makes me ride my brakes if I have a stick in front. If I have a stick behind me I may or may not occasionally come to a complete stop while going uphill on slick rocks just to get a giggle :D

I always smell clutch burning when wheeling with stick 2nd gens so I can see where you would be worried. I would if I had a stick.

    or sticks just suck :notsure:

    :D

Since i moved up to 4.56 i know i don't use as much clutch as i did. when I get a marlin crawler then, I wont have to touch the clutch. THen i will feel like gay homo driving a auto. :p
