I had mine done a few months ago and it was same day zervice...by sleeved you mean re tubed right? Then if that's the case then 800 bucks is absurd like smoking crack absurd.

The first time I had it re tube it was same day but I had to make an appointment a few days in advance.

try calling Randy driveshaft/driveline service in azusa. he's done my crawler and tacoma and he's done Ryans as well.

thats who I talked to. Yeah he said he can do it but he is busy right now and not taking appointments. The $800 is for a brand new drive shaft

I think I will take my chances and leave it for now. I definitely will get it retubed but if its waited this long hopefully it can wait a little bit longer.

I have gear driving cases in the taco..no issues with the abuses lmao. 60 mph in 4h is as fast as I can get the crawler on a flat lake bed :burnrubber:

but no, you'll have no issues for a DD. All it is is a Lefty tcase knock off

I see. That seems like a better alternative to swapping in an FJ case and a crawlbox. I would only need the one case instead of 2.

I figured that's what you meant when the next sentence said the crawler can't break 60. Haha

When I hit the dunes I through it in 4Hi and lock the rear and never touch it. I'll hit top out 3rd gear here and there but I usually don't shift above 2nd (redlines at about 50 mph).

I only use the front locker if I get a little hung up and come to a stop. When going fast I've felt like the front locker is too much extra load on the motor.

ok so between the flange yoke and the cap at the end of the splined yoke sleeve, isnt' there an empty space for lube? or maybe I just have the understanding of driveshafts all wrong? :notsure:
