I just bought them in 285/70/17 on ebay. Once the snow starts falling here, I'll put forth some feedback, and pictures of course!

255/80r17 only have 25 miles thus far. Installer put 50psi in each. Definitely need to drop towards 40 IMO. But it's rained hard all day, standing water everywhere and these tires haven't hydro-hesitated once.

I have 7/32 remaining on my 285/70/17. Last winter I felt they did great in deep snow 6"-12". my Michelin LTX M/S2 did much better on ice.

I will put some snow pics up when I dig them up.

How many miles you have on your ST MAXX .? I'm thinking I might use my tire tool and put some more sipes on them... To aide in snow and ice traction .. I had mine break loose a little today in the wet, granted I was going around a turn and the front was loaded (brakes) so made the rear end weightless but got it to slide some before they gripped...

I have 10k on them but I purchased the used on CL for $280 for the set. I don't know how many miles are actually on them. Got them with 8-9/32. Came off a furd...f250
More sipes would be good. I need to find one of those tools.
I can only find a short video of getting to our wheeling spot last winter. There was 4-6" on the path and of 12" off the path. Not aired down yet in that video. Went to 12 psi that day.

Thanks! That's the one I almost bought last winter. Then decided to test them a full winter.

Got my LT255/85/16 on tonight. Will post pics later when it's light out. Stock height and steelies. Slight rub on driver side flap, but thats it. Great looking tire IMO.

Got them from TireCrawler - 4 for $798 before shipping I believe.
