It's pretty good. I actually prefer doing it with a beef shoulder, two bottles of crappy beer, onions, carrots, & potatoes, though...
Of course, when I do that, I coat the shoulder in flour and brown it in a pan first before I throw it in the crockpot. And I save the liquid and make a gravy out of it. And there's no BBQ sauce. But other than that they're the same thing, really....

Nom. One of the nice things about winter is that I get to do all kinds of slow cooker meals that I never feel like making during the summer.

    :D

Holy shit! Good on your buddy for doing that.

They'll wind up getting sued at some point. They should check and make sure ALL their medical staff are trained and certified before allowing them on the course.

Yeah I learned how to use one in high school. It's simple!

Hey Alex tell your mom to be ready for that twelve gauge. Pistol grips sound and look cool but they can be a bear to handle on a twelve gauge

The only time I rode a snowmobile I hit a tree. Oops.

I'd love to get back on one now that I have a better idea of what I'm actually doing.

Yeah I have no idea why she went with pistol grips over a regular stock. She's gonna get a new stock and swap it out.

 Maybe she got a good deal on it or something

    Morning everybody!

Alex, how big is your mom? Reason I ask is that I'm only 5'7 and around 160, and I've shot a 12ga Mossy 500 with pistol grips (the Persuader? Is that what Mossy calls their stubby shotty?) without any trouble. I wouldn't want to run 3 or 4 boxes through it that way, but I unloaded it a few times on target and it didn't destroy my hands or anything.

Have her take it to the range with something nice and light at first, like dove loads or skeet loads, and gradually move up to heavier stuff. If she's flinching at the recoil before you hit 2 3/4 00 Buck, she needs a different gun.

    Just my $.02

    3.5 mags, too.

That's how you persuade somebody who's never shot a gun that shooting things isn't for them.
Always pisses me off when I see those videos on the web of some gomers handing a giant gun to a girl who's clearly never shot one before. Not only does it put her and those around her at risk for an injury because she can't control the gun, it also sours her on the shooting sports. Most women aren't going to come back and try shooting something else if their first experience with a gun is a broken nose because some A-hole handed her his 500 S&W to try.

She's 5' 5" and certainly not a twig, though she's lost a lot of weight in the last few years.

Been shooting for years but this is HER first gun.

She should be able to handle it well, but I definitely think a standard stalk would have been a better decision by far

Actually, the range she has access to requires slugs for the indoor range lmao

Some of those people are lucky if they only walk away with a broken nose. Lucky to be walking away at all if that's your first experience with a handgun. That's a cannon and tough to control by an experienced shooter. I believe it's already killed quite a few people because of the massive amount of kick coupled with the handler's reaction to grip it tighter...
    Ouch.
