One day, in beautiful Far Away Land, I will be done with critical repairs on my daughter's CRV and can start to look at putting the few pennies I have left towards my Taco, and can post wonderful things here. Especially since I have now essentially rebuilt the front suspension of that CRV - so many things I could do to my Taco...siiiggghhhhh.

I know the feeling. Wheels/tires/gears would be so nice, but...
    -Need a new driveway
    -Wife wants an insulated garage
    -Carpet needs to be replaced
-Kids need new coats, snow pants, gloves, etc.
    -Girl Scouts need more money
    -Boy Scouts need more money
-Oh look, wife brought home another dag
-Some other thing that I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Y'all need to get on that DINK method. Though I still am in early stages of DINK and hoping to purchase our first home soon.

I put on a Streettaco CB drop kit and now enjoy vibrationless travel across the nether regions of Tejas. Got to use my old Sears gift card from 2 years ago to buy two jack stands then realized a free chunk of polypro would have worked as well. that was last weekend. Week before I welded on my All-Pro kick out sliders. Waiting on my new tires so I can slap them on my Wheelers 16x8s. ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I need leaf springs and shocks all around pretty bad. Eventually i want to go M/T but that is a long way off. When i do that i want to get new wheels and tires and do all of the suspension at once. I got a quote today $1254 for billies up front, nitro sport shocks in the back, dakar leafs, bushings, ubolts, install and alignment. Or $1630 for a "kit" with icons and install and everything.

For now though i want to stay close to stock height, so i don't need bigger tires to make it look right and not break the bank, do you guys have any suggestions?

Lol. Yeah, I feel you. Daughter started college, roof needs to have a maintenance, broken window upstairs I have to replace, and all these car issues. Once I got her CRV suspension done, the neutral safety switch went tits up. It's only a $125 - $225 part, that's all. Yay.

I'm on the DIWK stage - dual income with kids. Still sucking wind with all these expenses. We had to drop $6k in one month back in July. Hasn't been much better in the months since! Good luck with that home purchase. Mine is at the 15/16 year mark so roof and windows and stucco. But hey, to re-stucco this place is only $15,000, no biggie, right? That is why I have learned to be an electrician, carpenter, plumber, mason man, and now a mechanic. Soon I will have achieved all knowledge and implode. Yeaaaaaahhhhh.

Yikes! Harsh dude, harsh! I'll have a beer in your honor this weekend, you poor single income bastad! :D

BTW - I am hoping to do a wheeling trip in Boulder next spring. Wife has a cousin up there (well, lots of family in the Denver area), so we like going up. Let's keep in touch around then - maybe we line up some folks to do a fun trip.

Finally decided to stop cleaning my headlights every couple months. So I cleaned them one more time and put on some 3m clear vinyl. It wasn't the best, got a couple small bubbles but I got enough left over to redo it.

In my area. It is for the most part stock but the paint is one of a kind. Its bedliner, matt black stripes, and a candy red/copper upper. I have some 33" tires but im waiting on a lift to fit em. I hope someday it can compete with some of the gorgouse rigs on the site.
