well that was fun...been a while since i wired up a sound system...won't be any subwoofer in my future, but it's nice to finally get an amp in the system...

    system is now:
JVC KW-AVX740 (had this for a while)
    Polk Audio 6 1/2" component speakers (F) 6 1/2" 2-way (R) (put those in a year ago)
    Kicker CX300.4 300W 4-channel amp

had a chance to finally clean all the crap out of the truck

the amp fits under the driver seat quite well actually...i have the power running from my second battery using a JL audio amp kit i picked up from cartoys..all new wires running to each speaker..ran them along the kickboards and under the seats..definitely the furthest i've ever taken apart the interior of any of my vehicles...took a while, but i was fighting a rain storm sunday afternoon and couldn't get back to the project till last night...took my time to try and make it as clean as possible and do it right the first time...still have some fine tuning to go, but sounds much better already...funny how much different it sounds without seats and with everything loaded back in there haha..originally tuned it with everything out of there, so i'll have to tweak it a bit now that i have shit in there again...

Glad you got a real amp! Looks like a clean install.

Is pretty drastic with the seats out Huh? Haha when I re did mine I was like...I'm not putting the seats in! Sounds so good! Haha yea lot of absorption and reflections from the damn seats..

Yea I am missing my dual 10s in Frank. Just rocking the stock setup with a new headunit in Igor haha not the same.

They make some slick boxes for your truck. You should get one for a small 10. Doesn't have to rattle your teeth out.

i use the back for a lot of gear...i'd rather keep the real estate available for that versus a sub...gear fills the foot space then the dogs get the rest

i basically consider it a 2-seater with storage

Oh yea. But I mean a sub box behind the seat..

I sure as hell wouldn't mind having my cab back in Frank. Sub box is huge haha

recovery bag behind my seat and tools behind the passenger...both stack up to be level with the seats...

there's no room behind the access cab back seats for subs... #accesscabproblems

Nice install Bob! I only added a sub in mine because it fits behind the rear seat so well and you cant tell i've got one unless it's on :D I'm still not sure if I rather have the longer bed or the 4 doors since both is too long... I do like all the space inside for storage with the 4 door.

DCLB doesn't have a TRD off-road option and don't believe they offered them with a manual...so F that noise! :D

a short bed wouldn't be the end of the world, but a 6' bed is nice to have for sure..especially having that extra room in the RTT now is a plus...

Yep. And my dad just had to get the long bed..and hood scoop..haha

Least he has the mechanical lsd

I know I could be good with my double cab but I would definitely have to learn to pack differently for all the tools and such.

Those DCLB's have crazy amount of frame flex too! We flexed Mike's out so bad on behind the rocks that the Tcase or trans slipped in to neutral! I came back up the hill to see what the hold up was and they were rocking Mike back and forth (because open/open) to get him unstuck and he was standing on the rev limiter but the tires were not moving. The shifter was not set to neutral and as soon as we pulled him a little bit forward off the rocks he had power to the wheels again. Weird as hell. haha. We thought the truck was broke until we towed him a little and everything was working fine again.

It always surprised me how much frame flex Joe's truck had too...
