Yea had the guy that built my swing out make adjustable plate to move it up or down.

 

But no tower .

 

A tower actually serves a purpose. And you can put a canopy on them to keep the sun off your bald head.

 

I'm no expert on boats, I just have experiences from renting for the last 7-8 years. We've done both kinds and the last few years have rented bow riders. What I found out this year from a buddy who lives and entertains on a lake is that different boat makers produce boats specifically for a function, ie. towing riders, etc. I realized how important it was this year especially because I almost yanked my bro-in-laws arms out of his sockets while he was attempting to water ski. My only words of advice is make sure it's got plenty of "giddy-up" if you want it to be able to pull the kids/skiers/wake-boarders behind.
We were renting Cobalts, great cruiser but seemed sluggish off the start. My buddy owns a Malibu which has options up the wahzoo, including internal right and left ballist tanks to control the size of the wakes behind the boat.
I'm sure your doing your homework, but I did't realize how much more to it there was till we started renting different boats and talking more about it to my buddy.

Yes, that one, been renting a place in Wolfboro the last 5 years and I still cant spell it. Before there we were on Newfound Lake also in NH.

There's a guy on our lake that has a triple float pontoon with 2 300hp mercs looking to sell.

 

This summer while gassing up, we pulled in behind a 24 or 26 foot pontoon boat with 2 195 HP motors hanging off the back. That thing was amazing! looked nicer than any pontoon boat I've ever seen. Never heard of the boat maker and cant think of it now, I'll look through my photo to see if I took a pic of it.
