Sticker on the fx4's were 45k+ here. Way too much.

I personally dont need fancy gadges... cameras, special display or sound system, ect. Just more electronic crap to break or malfunction, plus it adds to the price. I was forced out of a paid off Tacoma so I had to make due. STX was nicer than the 06' sport I had so I was good with it. Only thing I went back and forth on was a locker/lsd. And no matter what I got it was going to be modified to be used offroad. Not necessarily for rock crawling. I knew it was fat going into it

Ouch, on my 2009 XLT the only thing I ever had go was one of the rear shocks after about 100K. Other than that it's still at work as a shop truck and still ticking with original everything. We have a bunch of F150's at work and a few of them are Lariats. About the only issue we ever had was one of the fancy ones had a leaky sunroof that fried some of the electronics in the center roof console.

My Ram 2500 has lost a lot of things in only 15K miles.

Edit: Oh and one time the belt got jammed in the door of my F150 and busted off the plastic molding on the drivers side window. Probably not just the trucks fault there :D.

Depends on how f rugal you are I would imagine. The sticker on mine was 53k, I paid 38. Took me about 3 weeks of e-haggling with 7 or 8 different dealers.

Damn that's a huge difference in price.

So a 4x2 crew cab with the V6/auto in mid-level trim is low high 20s or low 30s in real money?

The last 2014 XLT 4x4 F150 we ordered for work was $34,500 CAN after cooperate discounts with the 3.5L. We could of ordered an XL (base) with trailer equipment and backup sensors 4x4 crew for $31,000 with the 3.5L.

Sticker on both trucks was between 42-45K plus taxes.

V6, you want the EB ? I would say 25-30k ? Idk though really since I always want a crew cab.

Can't believe the incentives are so huge. Tough market I guess.

Everything in Canada is more expensive though, here in Houston you can pick your truck and how much you want to pay lol.

I'm not up to date with Ford's, haven't driven one since high school.

Just curious, since I didn't look at any other truck but the Tacoma and I wonder what F150 crew cab is in a similar price point out the door.

Absolutely it's more expensive here. We got a good deal considering though and incentives are similar across the boarder. If we were in the USA I bet we could order an F150 XLT well equipped for under 30K with Ecoboost.

Face palm.....First, I'm pretty sure ICON 2.5's coilovers aren't a 2" C/O maybe I should call ICON and verify. Secondly, you don't know how to read a sig (the little blue icon under my name) or what I actually wrote about. Ford beefed up a frame to jump... but they still have a block in the rear and ball joint suspension components? Wow, that screams trophy truck. Props to Ford for some serious R and D especially using standard F-150 leafs. Since you've owned many off-road vehicles and posted a total of 32 times on Tacoma World I would expect you to say something like that. If you would read even further into my post instead of jumping off at the mouth or keyboard it says, "APPLES TO ORANGES", HENCE NO RELEVANT COMPARISION. Please excuse my ignorance since your dad owns a Raptor and congrats for your outstanding off-road repertoire. I'll start asking you all questions for now on.

Man this is exactly why I love the Tacoma. Not a full-size truck. Everyone in New Orleans drives a big ole Ford, Chevy or Dodge. All nice trucks but HUGE.

Rode to the Saints game in a friends '10 Ford Crew cab FX-something and I liked it, but when it came to parking it was all over.

I'm all set with my Tacoma...

No, not for me. I've had my share of full size trucks from all brands, and "the small ones".
I've had good and bad in both sizes, and all brands.
I'm thankful for my 14 Tacoma, and feel it best suits my needs.
I don't really care about gas mileage, or the minor quirks, as given my age, I have driven so much worse. I have also driven so much better.
I only want to drive a truck as a daily driver, and this is my choice. If I went full size, I would go Tundra, given the current choices, and reliability of what is out there.
Would I rent a Raptor for a weekend? Hell yes.

Ever seen a DC Tundra? Toyota makes a road barge too, looks even bigger in the road IMO

Yes, my old boss has a '13 Louisiana Edition (whatever that means). I would rather a raptor to that. I really hate the Tundra...

Everytime I see a Tundra I'm in love. I then find myself saying "that's one big ass truck" what would I need all that for? I remember the struggles of my fullsize truck days and realize why I went back to a Tacoma. Love my little truck.

No kidding. Looked at a Tundy crew the other day, feels like the backseat alone is 70% of my entire Tacoma cab.
