I suspect statistically, gun safes and hot tubs are the number one thing left behind when moving. Aside from dead hookers.

 

Haha nah, I'd like to think most people aren't stupid enough to leave dead hookers in their apartment when they move

 

ive read you really arent supposed to have them on anything but the first floor in case of fire etc because it will go thru the floor and demolish the next floor etc lol

I honestly can not fathom moving either back up the steps of my basement.
I have recently debated cutting a section of wall and digging out for a permanent safe and adding a vault door.

 

If no electric dehumidifier, desiccant bags work well. Just need to remember to change them out.

 

Couldn't you just put them in the safe?.

 

So, for an AR15, where the heck do I begin? Can I get a little input from someone who has built one? I don't know much about guns or putting them together. I'd like to just buy the main parts and put them together.

 

I'm far, far, far from an expert but when I was researching my build, no matter where I went, how many forum arguments I sifted through, one thing that universally agreed upon was buy good, quality parts and everything will fit together nicely. I bought a lot of my stuff during local shooting organization group buys so the parts had a great reputation. Someone here told me Primary Arms is good. If they sell it, it's gtg, they won't sell it if it's junk. The hardest part for me was choosing the barrel length I wanted. I'd start by getting a stripped lower and upper set that you like, then go from there.

I got the wide body cannon from Costco... Dammed thing is the size of a fridge, and it was like 800-850 free shipping. Amazing deal. Everything I have seen that size is nearly double the price

Well maybe not the taco but it gets the point across.

 

I got a Spike's LE complete upper on sale from Primary Arms for $450 and it has been awesome! I only have a few hundred rounds through it so far, but it zeroed in just a few rounds and has t had any problems at all yet. I just split a case of XM197 with my friend so I'll get a few hundred more rounds through it soon enough
