Very Nice Truck! One of the cleanest rigs I've seen in a long while. Getting pretty close to a TRD Pro in your own special color! If the dealer doesn't get my Pro I am planning to do much of what you did on yours (starting with a TRD Offroad) with the addition of a Snugtop XTR shell and sans the TRD OR decals. You definitely have a truck to be proud of.

Where did you get the color matched grill from? This chrome one looks like crap on my MGM truck

Yeah, 3-4 mpg's maybe. I haven't really been keeping track. I know I increased roughly 15lbs per corner going to these tires from my stock Rugged Trails. The KO2's in this size are only available in Load E.

Washed everything up real good and went up the road for a couple pics. Sun was in the shot on a few of them.

 

Looks great! Do the TRD beadlock wheels have a different offset than factory TRD? You don't have spacers do you? They seem to sit out just the way I like.

 

Thanks! No spacers here. Not sure if offset's different than the stock wheels.

I checked Ebay real quick and found the TRD beadlock's are 16x7.5 10mm offset, while the stock TRD Offroad's are 16x7 30mm offset.

 

Looks amazing (as always). But seriously, white letters out!

Not that I'm biased, or anything. (eyes darting around room)

 

any trimming needed to keep the bigger tires from rubbing? thanks

Stock wheels are 5.5" backspace, I think FJ cruiser and TRD wheels like yours are 5" backspace.

 

Thanks! No trimming. I only occasionally touch the inside of the front mud flaps if I'm turning almost full lock at speed and hit a bump.

 

Did you install a Pro grille yet?

Nice truck! Looks a bit familiar except Pyrite for me. Stance looks to be the same with my suspension which is probably very similar. Although I have some armor weighing it down some. I was going to get BFG KO2's but went with Toyo AT2 load C. Man that thing looks showroom clean. Time to get her dirty

 

Thanks HB Taco! Your truck looks sharp! I actually had a set of sliders ready to go on a few months ago but the more I looked at them mocked up to the truck the less I liked them. I ended up selling them. They were built well and the real deal, don't get me wrong. But I felt like they stuck out too much. It looked like scaffolding sticking out from the side of my truck which was just more likely to hit shit, get in the way, and drag my legs across it every time I got in and out of the truck. Not many companies build 'high and tight' sliders like I want. They either cost too much or the lead times are MONTHS.

I wish there were more trails around me. Most of the good ones I know of are posted, gated off, or both. I'll be honest, I don't plan on driving this thing straight thru the woods and scratching the shit out of it any time soon, so I'm limited to open areas which are well... hard to find.

Hey bud, Your truck looks awesome. That's what I was looking at doing from the beginning, but I was unable to get a hold of a baja kit. Then I went a little crazy and bought and Icon kit. I went up to 285 70 17 on my tires, but I really would like to go back down to 265s. I was looking at the BFGs A/T KO2s. How do you like them so far?
