It's October and I haven't even seen a buck this year. Neither has my dad. He'd already killed 3 bucks by this time last year. Losing 1100 acres really sucks

For those of you who bow hunt, what broad heads do you use?

I haven't now hunted ever but am now rentjng a 3 acre property in city limits that I am allowed to bow hunt on, so I figured it's time to start.

I do have a good bow and all, just not the broad heads

Oh and, this is a camera being out one night on the property, I've got apple trees by the way which might help some lol

Right now I have some Rage 2s as well, but those are my back ups. I'm a huge fan of Grim Reaper broadheads. They're just nasty.

Cool cool, i did forget to mention, is like to stick with a fixed broad head (no mechanicals, less things to go wrong. I've got a friend that is gonna bring me a muzzy 100 gr 4 blade to see how my bow shoots it. I'm hoping good lol

I've got some older bear broad heads but have none of the bleeder blades that are supposed to go with them, and to be honest they've had a lot of use on them. So I figure new bow and I'll get new broad heads. I may sharpen my bear broadheads as well, who knows

Edit: I forgot to add, I'm most likely hunting with either a 45# bear kodiak mag 48 recurve or a Pearson 709 hunter recurve that is around 50#. I haven't shot in a couple years, so I will need to practice. If I can get shooting good again I'll use one of the recurves, because to be honest I like shooting them better.

If I can get shooting good enough for me to be comfortable with a 20 yard shot I'll use my reflex growler instead.

I will 2nd or 3rd this. I have seen too many deer shot with expandable broadheads that never opened up. Does it happen often? . Probably not. But ONCE is too many times to lose a deer because of something so easily avoided in the first place.

I can't afford to have a deer run far , I've got a grand total of 3 acres to hunt in city limits during urban archery season, if they get off the land that I'm renting......

Haha I've killed deer before and had them fall right behind some people's house in a huge neighborhood development
