Anybody used the Discount Tire in Santa Rosa or somewhere else in Sonoma County? I"m comin' up due for tires and hoping I can find a decent shop with decent prices on Hankook Dynapro ATM.

 

look for the discount tire ebay store, they have some really good deals.

 

I just got a set of these installed and LOVE them. So much better on road than the Duratracs I had before. Pretty much dead silent and ride so smooth. Too bad you didn't check it out before today, they were having a sale for $100 off $400 worth of tires.

I'll check them out, I'm hoping I can get through winter but if I come across a good deal then no reason to wait.

 

LT E's 285/75/16. I liked the Duratracs, but for the amount of freeway driving I do the Hankooks are perfect. What size are you looking at?

This and they honor the $20 mount/balance each tire because you bought it from them theoretically.

 

So it's $80 to get them mounted and balanced through discount? I went with Firestone for $100 with lifetime balance and rotation since it's next to my office and Discount is 40 min away.

 

I haven't looked into size availability yet, but I'll probably bump my stock Dunlop 245s to a 265/75 or 265/70 in the Hankook, but still P rated. I was hoping to get some more mileage out of the Dunlop's but dealer said they were at 4/32 at 22k miles, I haven't confirmed this measurement though. Getting some vibes through my wheel like I have a tire out of balance, dealer says it's because tires are too warn.

Anyone replace lower ball joints yet? Try to figure out if I want to mess with pressing the old ones out or just find someone selling their stock LCA. Either way it sounds like a pain in the ass, just have to figure which is the lesser of 2 evils.
