Hey, at least you're still making it out!

    Damn! That sucks!

I think the wife and I decided to come up Saturday morning so we don't have to rush after we get off to get everything packed and ready.

There were a few spots on Charlie's that would be big enough to fit a few people.

I too am going up friday, not sure of where to camp but it'd be cool to meet up somewhere and then go to the site. I'm not very familiar with that area and don't want to rely on a GPS in case I get lost haha

I'm thinking coopers creek may be the best option for Friday, only an hour away. Its first come first serve and no paying. Anybody going on Friday have a better idea? :notsure:

Yeah I bet the "trenches" what I call them are all washed out so crossing is probably gonna be a pita. I'm more curious to see what the top looks like..it was pretty rough last time I went. There is more woods cut out to the left now so you don't even have to cross back to the other side and back onto the original trail

Oh yeah, we went up for recon Sunday AM and it was sloppy after the monsooning that morning. We didn't even go further than the first trench.

There should be one or two others.

We must not've scouted that far. I hope it is somewhat dry. I do wanna make it to the top. Just don't wanna tear up the DD!

I'm sure you could if you wanted to. Probably not enough room for everybody though.

You could always come into hayesville, nc and go to fires creek and camp? I haven't been there in awhile but, they use to have camping spots. Other than that I'm out of spots for you locally. Its where I live and probably 25 mins from fires creek to hiawassee.
