Not a big fan of nerf bars but the family (4 grandkids) is in and out of my truck on the weekends plus they provide some protection at the mall :p so I bought a set from Avid Offroad. I already have his arctic bar and have nothing but good things to say about Brandon plus the 20% discount that he offers to TW members made it a no brainer. This is the first set that he made for an access cab so it took an extra week but Brandon kept me updated along the way and I received them this morning.

They come with all the mounting hardware and precut strips of 3M Safety Walk to apply to the steps after painting.

Quality of work is great as usual.

I test fit one and it fits perfectly.

Time to get to work and get them painted! Thanks again Brandon!!!

Looks real good. obviously the 3M will help, but can you step easily onto it? How is the "step" positioning? Are they angled enough, and far enough away from the bar?
Just curious. my dad might help me make some steps/nerf bars with 3" black gasline pipe. He works for a natural gas company, and made me a front bumper/bull bar for my old '84 Landcruiserseveral years ago and it looked and worked great.

As a full functioning step, they may be just a tad narrow but work fine. Any longer/deeper/wider, I think they would look goofy.

You can send recommendations on his website for anything you can think of. I'll be surprised if he isn't fabbing sliders by now. Send him an E-mail.

I'll prep and prime. My neighbor (15 years in a body shop) will paint them for me.
