TSB / Bilstein 5100 adjustable setting ??

hope this may also help others pondering the same. I have read 100's of posts about the tsb rear, adjustable bistein 5100 up front, no other modifications. but have not been able to come up with a majority answer of what i should set them at to have the truck sit level. I know trucks will differ, but i figure its between the .85 or the 1.75 setting. would like to hear from those who have this set up and what they set their 5100's at and how the truck sits. thanks

 

5100's cranked up all the way with a 1.5"-2" AAL levels the truck out very nicely

see, if i just have the tsb only in the rear, im trying to figure if the 1.75 will be too much. im trying to set them only once when they come in.
anyone with just the tsb rear springs.?

I have front 5100's set at 2.5" and TSB leafs with stock shocks, both front and rear measure almost exactly the same..although the drivers side is about an inch lower...taco lean i suppose?

Just set them at 1.75 and THEN if it looks like you want a little more lift in the back call fatbob's for a rear block or aal or get a toytec 1 to 1.5" block for the back. It won't kill you to drive it around for a couple of days with the rake a little off for your liking.

I have mine set to 1.75 and the tsb and it looks perfect- but my tsb is REALLY settled.

 

2.5 in the front, and a 1.5 AAL in the rear. Pretty much dead level.

i was thinking that 1.75" up front with a 1.5" aal will give me a slight, less than stock, rake. i really don't want to crank them up to 2.5" with that aal.

i might have to try .89" first then go up to 1.75" with an aal if the .89" don't fit for me

 

just before installing the 5100's, remeasured the back end. it was 1.5 inches higher when i had the tsb done. but now was a 1 inch. i didnt want the front end higher , so went the .85 to level it out.

 

i wish i had gotten the tsb. now i have the 3 pack and have had it lifted with a block for about 9 months now. im concerned the block has caused the leafs to sag a little. so its either no aal and set them at .85 or get the 1.5 aal and set them to 1.75

I am at 1.75 and the tsb...I have a slight rake but a very noticable difference since it was stock. Looking back I probably should have went 2.5, but that brings a chance of vibrations into play....some get them some don't. Knowing my luck I would have got them. I will leave them at 1.75 until I go another route for front lift.

 

I noticed some of you guys have the '09s and got the tsb, is it official yet or did you just check with the dealer and they did it anyways?

 

yes its a 09, and no it wasn't easy. not to say it wasn't easy for others. had to go rounds with the service dept, then talk to the dealers customer service manager, call toyota corporate and get a case number assigned, deal with the the service dept manager wanting to inspect it with a load ( didnt do that request ) then him questioning how i use the truck, and if they do the tsb how the ride will be much rougher and they wont put back on the originals afterward.
if interested, start by talking to your service rep, he may agree and start to order parts. if not research this sight , get your facts straight, and be ready to do some leg work

so a 1.5" aal should be about equal to a tsb right?

 

Same setup here...2.5" Billy 1.5" Pro-Comp AAL...I have about 1" rake still tho so no TSB for me. Truck dosent haul nothing and figgered why take a chance at a driveline shudderrrrr

 

2.5" and toytec 2" AAL. 1/2" higher in the rear.
