You do realize I'm not making my headlights pitch black, I'm putting a light tint on them to darken them up. Just like tinting windows, you can have a really light tint, or you can have a dark tint.

Still reduces light out put and is illegal in my state and MANY others. Check your laws first.

This is as dark as I would go, just a little something to darken them up a bit.

Driving home tonight and in my rearview I see some blinking blue lights, look down at the SG and it says 4 over.
Turns out he was after the cadillac that was doing at least 15 over.

Have y'all ever seen a cop car where the rear lights aren't reflective?
Passed a brand new charger on the way into town (Lieutenants patrol car) and he was sitting in the median with no lights and I didn't see him until I was passing him, no reflection from the rear end at all.

Haven't seen that, but that reflective tape makes them stick out like sore thumbs if they're bad at hiding!

It really surprised me because the cars that the officers I know drive are very reflective (The PD's name and stripes are all reflective tape) and usually when your lights hit parked cars tail lights they light up.

Yeah. All the popo's cars are very reflective here, unless they are unmarked cars of course

I've only seen one unmarked, ford explorer (older model) with lights in the grill.
Only time I've seen it was when it had a 18 wheeler pulled over.

I've got 2 people on speed dial who can get me out of a ticket 99% of the time, it's one of the reasons I'm excited to live in a small (ish) town.

Local PD has a ton of unmarked Ford Explorer. It's ridiculous...

All they have are lights in the grill.

The only thing that says "cop" is the tint and black wheels, but that may be common in your area.
In Ms if you want to see if a crown Vic is a unmarked cop car all you do is check for a state inspection sticker, cop cars won't have it and most other cars will have a current one or one that's a few years out of date.

KY state troopers don't have any reflective tape. I was driving down the highway at night one time and didn't see him sitting in the median until I passed him.
