Dead--See February 2015 thread.

Anyone know how cold it gets during that time? I have been trying to convince wife but I keep getting shot down. What else is there to do as a family? I am not giving up and I will try to persuade her but she is very strong willed. If anyone has any other ideas of how I may change her mind please let me know.

Who knows? This is Florida. It probably won't be below the mid 30s, but it could end up being as high as the 70s that weekend. Me, I'm hoping for a freakish snowfall.

I tried convincing my wife. Basically she just said go have fun, she would rather not go sit in a truck for hours while we trail ride etc cause she knows she would be over it pretty quick haha, she loves camping though otherwise.

 

If you guys let's your wives drive they may enjoy it.

My mom took her Taco and she had a great time.

 

she is welcome to drive. She just rather let me do my thing and she can do something that she enjoys a lot more in the mean time.

Wife just doesn't want to go in the cold and with my 4 year old she says no way!
I wish she would tell me to go and have fun. Well I guess another meet that I will miss. Hope you all have a great time and be safe!

 

The first time I brought my son, which was also my first off road in meet, he was 3 or 4. It was chilly, but he loved it and has been hooked ever since. Just make sure to keep him warm and all the rest will fall into place

 

Guy brought a new born, lol.

 

Just leave the wife and the kid at home, and make the trip yourself.

Exactly, it's camping folks not rocket science. Get your kids and wives out in nature. Bring some warm cloths, a tent and most importantly good food. It's the food that keeps them coming back.

 

It also bears mentioning, in case some of you weren't aware of it, that the camp ground has some fairly nice facilities with hot running water, toilets, and showers. That might be a point in favor of going for some of the ladies. It's not just squatting behind a bush.
