That seems like more of a Junk Clunk.

 

You need to get out and wheel more. haha The diff can take that pretty easily. The only parts of the diff you have to worry about are the pinion/yoke on the front and back into a rock with the rear of the diff. The bottom is pretty fucking stout.

I was impressed at how thick the steel was on the casing when the techs ground the old diff cover off of my '99.
As an example:

 

Think I'm OK now.. Have diff armor! But like Brady said the bottom is Uber stout, only have to worry about the back. Will be upgrading to a fully fabricated axle so I won't have to worry at that point.

 

shit I need to find some big rocks if im going to do that. would damn near just have to place it. my rear diff is 11.5" off the ground.

 

Sure there are some decent ones in the mall parking lot

I thought this thread included the use of one's imagination

So, now imagine a rock crawl only with pumpkins - tis the season, plenty around. Mushy, messy, gross looking but won't damage your rig and easy to cleanup. Plus it's earth friendly, biodegradable and eatable.
