When installing a reverse camera through the head unit, where is the reverse lamp harness that I splice into with the wire from the head unit?

Dunno about your years, but on mine under the driver seat is a 13 pin plug and IIRC the reverse light wire is red/black.

You are allowed to make it longer.

Yea you are going to have to make it longer.

I thought you needed power for the camera at the camera.

Otherwise it should be the same as what Jason said.

Your camera kit should have a wire long enough to go from tail light to the head unit.

But honestly do what I did and hook it up to a switch so you can use the camera whenever, not just in reverse.

Instead of wiring to the reverse light circuit, with into a switch.

The power going to reverse was this one for me:

    3B3D63AC-2C10-4E2A-BAC1-644E11AF285D_4b787391568d25e734605cc192d25df5ab555b4b.jpg

    It was black and red.

    Exactly^^

It's just like hooking up lights. Do it that way and you don't even have to fuck with the reverse light curcuit.

Just follow the wire out of the light and trace it back

All new front brakes today. Calipers, rotors and pads. Was easier than I thought it would be.

If it were me, I think I'd want both. For maximum safety, have the reverse light circuit wired up, and wire the manual switch in parallel, so you can optionally flip it on.

If anyone wants a DIY weld rear bumper I have a few ready to go. 2 of them have a hole for a tire carrier spindle on the right side, 2 don't. It will look the pic below, but with end caps. No wrap around has been designed for these yet, so if you want that it's all you. $275 plus shipping for the 9 pieces needed. If you also need the 2" square tube to tie in the hitch to the mounting brackets, that is $15 extra. PM me.

Main structure is 3/16", the mounting brackets are 3/8", and the shackle mounts are 1" thick.

I will get more pics when I get this welded and the truck gets here to install on.

Me too! Wanted to do the Tundra swap but don't have the time, money or extra weight to justify it yet. Plus I don't plan on keeping the spacers forever and didn't wanna have to deal with it till I get new wheels.
