I have his bank account # (same bank as mine and they couldn't help), phone number, full name and address. I think that will be enough to get things rolling with the police.

I really hope the police care. There are internet scams every day, though. You have huge balls for keeping this from your woman BTW!

 

If police don't or can't help, I say u start paying visits to his house. He looked young, bet he lives with mom n dad still! Fill his parents in on what happened. And just keep going back every so often and knock on door. Or have people in the area leave reminder notes that u want ur money.... Sort stalk him in a mellow non violent way. Or go beat is ass dressed as a ninja one night while he is walking out to his car and tell him said beatings will continue till u get ur money!

 

I believe his dating site profile says he is new to town and is there for school.

That's all you need also to file a small claims case for your $. I advise that sooner versus later, and keep much documentation. It will cost you a small filing fee..not sure about your state, in MA it was $50 to file for a similar amount for me and if you win the defendant gets that assessed as part of the judgment, plus you get pre-judgment interest.

 

I have a feeling if he tells his wife he might need another lawyer.

 

Don't need a lawyer for small claims..some states won't even allow you to bring one to court. I've done it a few times in life, it's a simple process.

 

Set up a date with him through his dating site. It'll be fun.

Sorry to hear about your bank not helping. Take your money elsewhere so they can't continue to make money off of it.

As for the police, the good thing you have going for you is that they will truly want to help as well as, if they catch this farthuffer their court/justice system will make money off him...so extra motivation I suppose.
