Need help fixing drivers-side lean

So here's my situation:

I had .75 of an inch lean in the front...drivers side was the lower side. (factory suspension)

So I went out and purchased the OME 9000's with 886x fronts and Dakar/60091 rears. And Icon UCA's.

Now I have 1.25 inch lean on the drivers side. and that's WITH the 5mm trim packer.
The rear has a .25 inch lean towards the drivers side.

My question for you guys is....how can I fix that lean? do I need to add a top spacer on the drivers side to help even it out a little? or is 1.25 an indication of something installed wrong? Is it expected to lean like that? I looked and looked and can't find anything that's loose or installed wrong or out of place. I have the sway bar removed.

Its because the driver and gas tank are on that side, so the weight will make it lean. You could use spacers or throw a bunch of weight on the pass. side if you want to be cheap.

 

Did the springs (dakars) have an "A" or "B" designation on them? Or a "+"? maybe?

its the front thats got the serious lean though? unless your saying the rear is contributing to the front leaning? the rear is very slightly off, its the front thats way off.

I'm aware of "taco lean", at least to the point of needing a 5mm spacer...is it so bad that its over an inch off and requires a spacer as well?

here's my readings front the ground to fender...yes I know hub to fender is better but regardless the floor to fender's should be the same (the tires are brand new, same wear and exact same pressure).

DF: 38.25
PF: 39.50

DR: 40.25
PR: 40.50

I was reading that adding a 10mm spacer to the drivers side would not only raise the drivers side 10mm, but it would also cause a drop on the passanger side as well? any truth to that? if that would happen, it would bring me rather close to even, although not perfect.

 

Get a chunky gf, problem solved.

^^ they would have to sit on each others lap so that the weight is directed only at the front passengers side....

 

Wrong. One drives while the other sits in YOUR lap.

 

on a serious note....where Can I find a front 10mm trim packer for the tacoma?

I seem to find a lot for jeeps or expeditions or 4runners etc but no tacomas?

You could try a top plate spacer. A TP14 (from Toytec) will fit with stock studs installed. About $25 and super easy to install. Any thicker than the TP14 and you would have to switch out the studs.

Did you make sure you have a consistent baseline? By this I mean do your tires have identical pressure (since your measurements are from the ground, not the hub), and did you take measurements with gas tank full, half full, or empty? Also, unload any stuff out of your cab or bed that could be a factor. Just make sure all possible variables are accounted for and measurements are accurate before you start buying stuff for mechanical changes.

 

^^ yes, I did. I was very OCD about getting correct numbers.

 

That was my original thought but I need twice that lift...more like 1/2 an inch on the drivers side.

 

The 1/4" spacer will give you 1/2 lift...I would just do that and than call it good...

 

A 1/4" top plate spacer will give close to 1/2" lift when installed (what Flowin said).
