Thank you for the lead. I did look on CL and found some 2 hrs away, west of Chi town but they're twice the asking price of the indy set.

Great idea about the tpms, a little light doesn't bother me!

Thanks again! I should have thought of that. I was just too eager to pop the trigger! Now I'll have to pop for remounting but hey... Live and learn.

If it'll make you feel better, bought my wife a new Highlander this Summer and have an appt with my tire guy Tuesday when I'll be "popping" for the remount. Hope I can pick up a set of rims for it before Spring, but they went up from 17" to 18" wheels with the 2014s. I'll continue to monitor Craigslist for a set. ;)

I bought a set of FJ Cruiser black steelies for my winter set of Blizzaks. I have not bought the tires yet though. I got 5 rims/tires with less than 100 miles on them for $400. Hoping to at least get a couple hundred out of the all terrains that are on the rims. Rims are 17x7.5. Should look good too!

Thanks MQQSE! I can wait for a good deal to pop up. In the mean time, I'll mind my P's & Q's...

TPMS Outlaw!!! That should be my tag line! Love it!

BTW - has anyone got their new air pressure stickers per the recall?

My sticker says 29 psi front, 32 psi rear.

Can that be right? 265 70r16...

Probably right for the OEM tires (which are generally crap IMHO) that came on the truck from factory. I honestly don't pay much attention to the sticker and run my tires at the pressure my tire guy tells me and monitor wear. He hasn't steered me wrong yet. My Winter P-rated Blizzaks I run from 34-36 psi; my Summer LT rated GY Silent Armor ATs I run at 50 psi. Lots of opinions and some will say that's too high (Summer 50 psi) for our light trucks, and honestly it rides a little rough, but his recommendation is based on preserving MPGs with the heavy tire and also to decrease flex on rough gravel roads which was my purpose for getting the LTs. I've had too many friends cut down P rated tires on our gravel roads during fishing/hunting season. No problems aside from a little rough "truck-like" IMO ride. Here's a thread I found on here discussing the concepts.

EDIT: I haven't received a recall sticker ... I probably would ignore it anyway, as this post probably indicates. ;)

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Congrats on the new tires. Must be nice living near Tire Rack! The Blizzaks are very good although I prefer Nokians (I have run both of them on the wife's car). You should definitely get a set of winter wheels, makes winter change overs a brezze. Check CL, your local junk yards and maybe you can find a set on here. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires-marketplace/ One guy just let a set of his steelies go for $100.

Thanks for the link. I read it and am now even more confused! Not really, but guess I'll just have to experiment.

Tire Rack aired 'em up to 32 psi all the way around. I'm going to try 34 or 36 and see... Will probably go back to 32 when the snow flies.

Thanks Mach1. It is nice to have a distribution center in my hometown! I did check the TW 4sale board first, then CL. Closest set is 112 miles away west of Chicago.

We do have a couple of junk yards... LKQ and veldman's and Michiana Auto parts... Gonna call them this am. Thank for the tip. Wish me luck!

100 bucks for a set is awesome. Doubt I'm gonna find that kind of deal. Esp. If the come with hub caps and lugs...
