Rear Shock Length

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    X2 the stock shock mounts on the 2nd gens are very limiting and any way you look at it they are going to limit travel. Up or down depending on the shock length. The best thing to do if you want to really use your springs fully is to remove the stock mounting points and fabricate new ones. I offer a DIY kit with new shock buckets and lower mounts that allows you to run 12" shocks and get the full amount of travel out of your springs.

    yea I measured about 16'' collapsed and 24 extended, so the 10'' should be fine, I just wasn't sure about the valving as I was told it would be "different"

    DSM Custom valves/Has them valved them for the Tacoma so buying a off the shelf shock might not be the right one off the bat.

    What did we come to a conclusion? I'm at a three inch lift and my rear shocks are getting beat to a pulp need rear shocks like yesterday !!!

    how is the ride in the rear? curious if it is better to get the 2.5 over the 2.0....
