Tweety Noise, constant when clutch engaged

Any help very appreciated. When my clutch is engaged (power to the road) my engine/tranny make a noise that is like a constant tweety bird. I hear it as I drive near curbs or walls with the windows open. It is loud enough to notice at all times.
It does go away when the clutch is disengaged (pedal depressed).
It sounds like what you'd expect to hear with a belt slippage problem, but I'm pretty sure the belts run continuously and are not affected by the clutch engagement.

 

Sounds like maybe throw out bearing, how's the release when you take off? Is there any slippage? Oh yeah, does it make the noise sitting still in neutral with clutch in/out ?

 

its either the throw out but you describe it in reverse of what I believe. more likely its the fork that holds the throw out. when its slack it vibrates and creates a squeal type noise. try lubing the fork pivot point and where the slave pin hits.

The release is fine, no slippage. It only has 43k miles, I can't believe I've abused the clutch bad enough to see wear this soon. Primary driving is road.

Yes, it makes the noise after it's warmed up while sitting still in neutral. As long as the clutch pedal is out, it makes noise.

I think it is the throw out bearing

 

Yeah I'm still thinking throw out bearing, possibly weak or slightly bent finger on pressure plate but doubtful, that is really low mileage for this shit to start happening, but seeing how that noise is consistant out of gear ,sitting still my money is on the bearing.

 

i had the same issue and noticed it about 10k miles ago. i lubed the fork pivot point and it shut it up for like 3 days, then came back. its not really doing any damage, so just turn the music up. just to be sure though, press the clutch until there is just barely any pressure and see if it stops

 

Throw out is my guess, but what I really wanted to say is nice boats! Did you build those? We have Current Designs Solstice GT's. Now back to the subject.

 

Yep, we finished them in July after 2 1/2 years of mostly procrastination. They are One Ocean Kayak Storm and SLT. Now we're having fun with them and nobody notices the truck anymore. Hmmmm.
