    Hi Ken,

I read all 30 pages, (unlike many other 'helpful' posters) Until page 24 I was thinking torque converter till you said that you still have the issue when at speed in neutral. I believe you have done your due diligence, I have only 2 suggestions and an observation.

    1st
Determine the frequency of the vibration, then determine what particular portion of the drive train is spinning at that frequency... if it vibrates at 3 times per second, what is spinning at 180 rpm... and does the vibration frequency (not intensity) increase as you go from 50 to 70 mph? I understand this is probably a sympathetic vibration, but even so it could give another direction to look.

    2nd
I think this situation must come to its logical conclusion... your truck wants to self destruct... help it do so. Pay a trusted neighborhood kid to drive it at 75mph over the worst road he can find, (shoot, I'd have done it for free when I was 16 years old).... In short, BREAK YOUR TRUCK, help it shake itself to pieces. Do everything you can to exacerbate the situation... you said the vibes are getting worse...? make them MUCH WORSE... a cracked a/c line is just the beginning...

Finally, every poster here who says you should just bend over and take it from toyota is cordially invited to eat a big bag of dicks. America was founded on protest... did we take it lying down when those limey bastards tried to impose a tax on our tea??? Hell no! we dumped it in the harbour, made the indians our scapegoats and switched to coffee.

Good luck, keep the faith and maybe watch "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" for inspiration.

Put some graphics on your car about what a lemon the truck is...then legally park it outside the dealership.

Negative... Red, White and Blue are my favourite colours.

Fraud is Toyota calling that bone shaking vibration a 'characteristic'
Fraud is Toyota not standing behind their product
Fraud is performing a NVH test and then requiring OP to get a court order to see the results.
Fraud is big business rigging the system so that no lawyer will take the case.
Frauds are the fanboys on this forum who think OP should just 'trade it in'... and take a $3k loss.

Fraud is not.. driving fast on shitty roads.

Took my 2014 4X4 out the other day and flexed it pretty hard climbing a hill with loose dirt and had rear wheels bucking. I can say that I now have that vibe (kinda like your vids) at around 40-45 but thats nothing near as bad as my buddys Chevy vibe at 70. His Chevy would literally will hop the front end up and down like a lowrider.

I can hardly wait to get some better suspension and tires. Compared to my 05 Pre-runner with coilovers and "hard to balance" BFG AT's, my stock 14 suspension and the stock tires are poor performers. Truck feels loose around corners and suspension feels "not up to the task" under any type of challenging terrain.

I read all through this thread and others like it and think I have had three 2nd Gen Tacomas without a hint of vibration, excessive shakes or noise .... until ... this morning ...

BAM ... ... out of nowhere I began to get this incredible sound out of my dash ... drove me friggin' nuts ... ... 1st stop light ... no noise ... get going again and sure enough it begins .... I am pushing on dash, console, glove box, up across the base of the windshield... nothing stopping it ... next stop light .... nothing ...... so I am thinking it's in the friggin' drivetrain or wheels ... but why ... nothing had changed ... .

This went on for another 5 minutes or so ... day light was beginning to break .... now I am "looking" for the cause ... ta-da ... an oak leaf stuck in the wiper arm ... if they were all that easy.

Ok, time to focus on the tacoma now that the Charger is on it's way home :D

The toyota dealer in Murfreesboro, TN (where the truck was purchased) is in the process of moving to a new location and will probably have a well covered (media) grand opening. It will be the perfect time to drive through their parking lot and up/down the street with some big ass "shame on toyota" signs mounted in the bed of the tacoma.... Any suggestions?

    My suggestions:

    1) make the sign 15 feet tall with quotes from toyota on what is wrong with your truck and quotes from the mechanics who have seen it and almost puked in big bold letters.

    2) bring a dashcam and take lots of pictures with a smart phone. This thread wants to be entertained :D

Ken, I would totally make one big sign, double sided of course with the quotes like mentioned above and park it there or across the street. Probably across the street once you get kicked out lol.

was that the low-end buzz around 1st/2nd gears? If so, well known issue.

If not, you need to clarify if this is the same!
