Again, like Derick said, he and FSU are the current face of NCAA football...his complete disregard for anything rule related, and FSU's complete lack of attempts at putting an end to his shenanigans should be embarrassing to you as a fan, and everyone else associated with the University. He's been popped for stealing twice, vandalism, and accused of rape (not charged but only because of what appears to be a completely inept police department)...That's at least 4 times any other player in the country would've been suspended...FSU decides to wait until he makes an obscene comment (that would have not been a big deal) to suspend him for a half...then a whole game...and still allowed him to fly *edit*participate in team activities and dress out with the team...

It has nothing to do with hating the football team, or just 1 tiny incident 2 years ago...I think everyone could agree that if he had ONLY shoplifted 2 years ago and paid his fine and did his community service...we could, would, and should move on...but Jameis Winston is a public figure whether he likes it or not...kids look up to him...he is not above the rules/law and FSU is failing to hold him accountable for his actions. Actions that kids look at and think it must be OK because Jameis did it. Rape is at the forefront because it's the most serious, and a sick crime that plagues ALL universities. But at least 2 other players in NCAA FBS have been accused just this year...and BOTH have been immediately suspended until the investigation is completed. 1 has been reinstated and the other charged. Rape culture in colleges is a very serious and ongoing thing, and FSU's lack of response to the alleged victim's claims only helps further that culture.

It's not about belittling a college kid who just made a mistake, and it's not about hating FSU because it's FSU or because their ranked so high etc etc. It's about what appears to be a complete lack of discipline for their star football players, an unwillingness to acknowledge an issue and complete disregard for anything and anyone who doesn't wear an FSU football uniform.
