Here's my Frugal, Lights behind the grill set up. I was looking at all the brackets available at various vendors and thought I could finagle one myself. I ended up using 2in. Aluminum right angle stock. It's Strong, rigid, light, won't rust, easily cut with angle grinder or jig saw with a metal blade. Was thinking about using Angle iron, but figured it was over kill for what i was looking to do. When done I painted it black so it wasn't so easily visible.
Here are some pics. (sorry for the huge pics) need to change the setting on my phone:eek:

Looks good! I was even cheaper when I did mine but I'm sure that's no surprise. :D I mounted brackets right to the upper grill support for mine. Then lights right to the brackets with no bar. But, I like your set up. I actually have a piece just like that in the shop, Hmmmm. :)

This is how I mounted up a bracket in a similar fashion, piece of flat steel, painted, and mounted to scrap brackets bolted to the radiator supports.

Looks good. I took the minimalist approach. Not pretty but it works fine.

That's a 100W speaker for a siren/horn setup from Federal Signal (i think). Judging by the lights and siren, I'm guessing vol fire fighter?

Not so much anymore. I read an article a few months back stating that he was going to sue everyone in the country for all the pollutants that are destroying the earth, haha. He's going crazy...

I added this handle to my tool box to make it easier to slide out to access. Handle was a part I salvaged off my old grill. Not sure I like the stainless steel, I may paint it black.

These are some of the frugal mods I have done. I will post others as they occur/I remember them.
I can't take credit for all of them, but I will post them here anyways because they might be useful for someone.

    Fire extinguisher mounted to bed:

Bestop clamp to keep from flapping(bar is a piece of aluminum stock I had lying around):

Red (pink) rescue knife for $7 on Amazon, (kept in center console, see previous pic for location):
