I color matched the grill surround yesterday. Used Dupli-color, color matches good but im not happy with the finish so im going to wet sand it an reclear it with two cans instead on just one. Still looks a ton better without the chrome. I was very surprised at how easy it is to remove the grill, its almost to easy. lol sry for the crappy pics

 

Finished up a couple of mods last weekend, installed the painted bumpers and finished up the OBA for the ARB's.
going to Barstow this week for some testing.

Threw on my winters a little early, a new set of Cooper A/TW in 235/85r16.



Also picked up a sweet tool box for the truck. 40 bucks used. Great steal. 3 feet by 18" by 18". Now all I have to do is drill a hole in my bed and secure it.

 

Installed HomerTaco raptor grill last night & new DuraTracs tomorrow

 

thanks guys. a lot of time went into just planning the build for what I needed it for.

it was considered, but I have a tube buggy for rock crawling. this is set up for more go fast expedition trips. with mild trails.

that's the aluminum one. the steel is $850. I wasn't sure if the al version would hold up to rock rash as well. (and more difficult to repair in the event of damage).

Had a nice little weekend with my truck.

- Diff breather relocated
- Moved the rear view mirror
- Enabled TRAC with 4LO
- Removed that stupid KARR Alarm that was installed at the dealer
- Installed my new 32" LED light bar (the amber and white can be controlled separately, which is pretty slick)

 

that's what kept me from a SAS on the taco.

all pro lists the steel bumper as 132lbs. I believe that the AL version is only 20 or so pounds lighter.
