You were only 2 weeks off. You have time to get your truck ready. ;)

Ha well I just got schooled in suspension right now by Sonny at DSM. However now I know what to get and what will suite my needs.

Just ordered my 12" Kings 2.0 with resi's

And once my insurance check gets here I'm going to bang out the dent with my dad and me and Ryan are building me a rear bumper. Things are looking up !

Suspension is way different when your going up instead of down

I will more than likely head down for the workday this weekend. Diffs, skid plate paint and fluid film are on my list.

I would not pay near that much for that truck. I might pay $800 to $1,000 for it if the frame is solid. I have bought a lot of 1st gen trucks and 4Runners over the last 5 years. If you plan to make it into a serious offroad truck you will want to put a 22RE in it. (which I have a couple of) Generally the frames on those trucks are ready to fall in half. Definately check the rear part of the frame where it curves, especially on the inside right next to the gas tank. If the frame is solid it could be a nice base for a good offroad truck with the solid axle. If you decide to get something like that I have lots of parts in my basement that I am trying to get rid of. The best year to buy is an 85' since they were solid axle(last year of solid axle) trucks with the majority having fuel injection.(1st year with 22RE) Let me know if you have questions about 1st gen trucks/4Runners.

Damn man I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm mainly looking for a truck for my 15 year old brother. He wants a toyota truck so I wanna help him get one. But I should probably pay mine off first ...

Anyone in Iowa looking for a good used mig welder? I'm looking to upgrade. It is 200 amps, 230 volt. I weld bumpers and other heavy things with it with no issue. Has a fairly new gun, ground, and regulator. It's a big, heavy unit and has a cart to roll around. I would like to get $800 without the gas bottle.

Sure thing. I would do that even if you didn't buy it, just bring the scrap metal to weld on.
