I've been looking at Tacoma's for the past month and found one about 40 miles away that was worth a look. It was a 95.5 Tacoma 4x4, 3.4L, 5 Speed Manual, ADD, PW, PL, A/C, Cruise, Tilt in 100% stock condition with the exception of a Pioneer head unit added in the mid-2000's if I had to take a guess. It has 108k miles, no accidents (zero paint work, all VIN tags in place), no rust anywhere. The timing belt (and a number of other things) was done at 101k and it has been serviced/repaired at Toyota it's whole life. Runs great - everything works with zero leaks. I paid $7,800 which was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it's super clean.

It's beige which was not my first preference for color, but it will fly under the radar I suppose. I have been adding new parts and freshening up the truck since the pictures below.

    - New shocks all around with new front springs
    - Replaced the tailgate due to a couple of dings/dents with an OEM unit I got off of eBay in the same color
    - Heavy duty trailer hitch + wiring harness
    - 2001-2004 Rear tail lights with clear turn signals
    - Clear front corners
    - GE Nighthawk LED 5x7 capsules. These are the same as the Truck Lite units and are bad ass
    - 2005 4Runner Limited 17" Wheels/Tires. I had these in storage from my old 4Runner that I don't have any more and the tires were a lot better than the original 15's that came on the truck

I bought the truck to be a daily driver, my fishing truck to tow a little 14' Valco and something to do a little wheeling in. I'll post some pictures of the mods this weekend when I get pictures of them. I've gotten a lot of compliments on this truck since it's in dang nice shape for being 18/19 years old. The seller put a new starter on it just before I picked it up.

Next up will be Tundra front brakes and I need to replace the drivers side upper balljoint due to the boot leaking. I'll use an OEM balljoint when I do that job. When I picked it up the original shocks were absolutely shot, so the new shocks/springs all around have made a huge difference. Drives good and tight. Hard to believe it's a 95. After driving the truck for a week, I felt like my 2014 IS350 F-Sport was a freakin race car this morning. haha.

Well after sifting through all of the replies (insert sarcasm), I'm going to post up some pics of my recent mods. I'm keeping the truck mostly stock, just freshening it up a bit.

    - GE Nighthawk LED Headlights (Truck Lite's)
    - Clear Corners
    - Crystal Turn Signals
    - 01-04 Style Rear Taillights
    - Heavy Duty Tow Hitch + Plug In Harness
    - 2 x Reverse Lights (6 LED Light Assemblies)
    - Jensen VX7020 Navigation Headunit + Backup Cam + SirusXM
    - '99 OEM tailgate from eBay in perfect shape

I'm probably going to upgrade to the Tundra brakes and I have a set of 2010 Scion TC buckets on their way to me since the seats are not comfortable for me and I have a bad back, so they have to go if I'm going to spend any time driving the truck. :)

Great score! My 95.5 was the best vehicle I've ever owned hands down. Miss her every day. Congrats dude

Super clean! Looks like some of the underhood hose brackets were recently replaced too. Not to mention the bling bling intake.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with the intake. It was always dealer serviced, so who knows. That's the first thing I asked the seller when I popped the hood but he only owned it for like two weeks (bought it from a guy who brought it to the dealer where he worked). It looks too good to be original. Every place I take it to, someone wants to buy it. I barely got it back from America's Tire when I had the tires rebalanced the other day. lol.

Stock as Stock can be with duratracs and a roof rack
    Very clean truck.
One thing about having a heading like that is that its not very ergonomic to use.

I'm very pleased with the GE Nighthawk's. I bought them for when I'm driving on rural roads and can run the high beams where they are great. I'm very happy with them.

One tip if anyone uses these headlights. Get a 197 bulb socket with leads, strip back about 1" of insulation and push the wires into one of the headlight connectors on the low beam side of the bulb. Install a 197 bulb and wire tie it under the hood somewhere so that it's not touching anything. Plug the headlight harness in (with the 197 bulb leads in there as well) and verify the bulb lights when you turn the low beams on along with the LED headlight. Now your high beam indicator in the cluster will work. It won't work without an incandescent bulb or a resistor on the low beam circuit.

Wow that's a nice clean truck! I didn't know the 95.5s came with auto locking hubs?

My truck has most options of an SR5 with the exception of the sunroof and buckets/console. It was fairly well optioned and it does have ADD. Build date is 4/95.

Sweet find. Don't see many 1995.5s around. Have you check your headers? Lots of pre 2001 Tacoma have cracked headers.

Thus far I don't hear any exhaust leaks on the truck, but I did see some people mentioning that problem on the 3.4L. It's something I'll keep my eye on.
