    We've been wanting to move for the past couple years, and I've been watching the prices go up and up. We're just waiting for my wife to finish school so we can gtfo.

    Basically all of Boise is great, the north end and east end will be the most expensive, west boise into meridian is basicially average. Meridian/Eagle are the closest suburbs...also basically all great. Eagle is where all of the huge houses, large estates are while still in the suburbs of boise. garden city which is essentially an extension of boise is just kind of cheap. some trailer parks, lower end businesses...but a surprising number of breweries lol. probably 15 minutes out of boise is nampa, and like 10 past that is caldwell. they get kind of a bad rap, just because there are more low income sections and those two cities specifically are where a lot of the mexicans live because houses/property are noticeably cheaper. but there are still pretty nice neighborhoods in nampa and caldwell all over the place. depending on what you are doing and if you want a lot of land, middleton is kinda out there....but land is of course cheaper and people are selling bigger properties. people with horeses and such usually live out in middleton.

    My wife's first bike was a ttr 125. It lasted about 6 months before the engine squeeked. Her second bike was a WR250F with a lowering link so she could touch. I would skip the ttr. The honda will be a better bike, if it fits her and if the maintenance has been done on it.

    Rumor has it that may be the cause of the whine Im hearing.

    Good to know. My cousin suggested it because it's pretty light. Wet weight is 198 lbs. My wife doesn't want a 250 or bigger because she is worried she won't be able to pick it up off of her. She's about 5'3" and 115lbs. I imagine she could do it if she had too but I think she would get tired of it after a while.

    Eh, she could pick up a harley. Technique is more important than size. Generally you push away from a bike when you crash. At least most people do anyway.

    That said, most 250's weigh in around 220 or so. My CR500 weighs 215 lbs, although that would not be a good beginner bike. Chicks don't ride like us anyway, they like to drag their feet and stem a lot, so seat height is more important to them than weight. I can barely touch the tips of my toes on my KTM 990, but I ride like I'm possesed. Chicks have their center of gravity in their hips and bikes are different for them. Get her the right bike or it will just sit in the garage man. Doesn't matter if the right bike is a TW200 or a honda 90, as long as she rides it. With time, she'll feel more comfortable on a bigger bike, but it takes practice.

    My bike is ~300lbs wet and I can pick it up every time.

    what about a yz 125? that 2 stroke will be better than the 4, and its a good size

    also not sure what you want to spend...but our friends have a ktm 200 xc (2 stroke) whatever. faster than our 250s apparently and the guys wife rides it
