So, please excuse my ignorance, but would a single shot rifle with a threaded barrel in CA be illegal?

From What Jberry is saying no, if it's a bolt action then it should be legal.

I just like the look of the longer suppressor barrels on a glock :(

Yea, just curious :D. Good 'ole California gun laws, can't hardly take a gun out of its case without breaking the law these days.

I've seen quite a few TW Tacomas in that part of town for some reason... Must be a PITA for this guy to parallel park with that amount of additional hitch hardware.

I would definitely check in on that. Kind of interesting because when it comes to variance like and A.R. pistol it's threaded and you can change out the muzzle break or flash suppressor at will. But if you ever look in any gun shop you will never see a handgun with a threaded barrel. I am not sure if that's because they are off List firearms or not.

    ...too much shit to list.
AR pistols do not have a detachable mag...at least in California. You have to use a bullet button which makes the magazine fixed, which makes it legal.

The full law falls under SB23 AW law:

    http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/regs/genchar2

12276.1 (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following:

    4. A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:

    A. A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
    B. (B) A second handgrip.
    C. A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
    D. The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

Seems like it might kind of loud in that location if there's living space besides that deck. But I guess it doesn't matter when you can turn the stereo up! :headbang:

Don't forget to keep a charger on the starter battery, it might be worth keeping one of those emergency car jump starter things with the battery and built in jumper cables on hand. If your home has natural gas or propane, it might be worth looking into running the generator on that instead of having to keep gasoline on hand. There're conversion kits available that make your generator work with either one and then back to gasoline with a pet cock.

So is it only to be used on the special ramps? Could be cool but I have a hard time seeing people justifying it, would be hard to make it take actual actual half pipe angles.
