I'm currently drinking some Two towns hard cider. It's pretty good considering it is a bottled cider.

Any suggestions from Portsmouth Brewery? Going to dinner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire tomorrow night, idk when I'll be back on this side of the country next.
Just noticed them earlier today so I figured I'd check it out.
I prefer IPAs, btw, if that helps for suggestions.

    Any actual brewers in here?

I think it's quite fun and interesting. I've been starting on wine batches.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I only brew when I realize my kegs are out.

Since you like cider try a mead, very interesting drink to me. Not really my style but most people I know end up liking them more.

Smutty bouncy house or finestkind if they have it. If you want some real good IPAs head up to maine and hit up maine beer co. Or head into central VT tomorrow morning and grab a case of heady!

Aw man, just googled all of those. The heady looks like it's got great reviews! I'll have to look around here in Durham and Portsmouth, though, because I don't have a vehicle here and can't rent a car (damn 25 yo age restriction) so I'm relying on public transportation.
I'll look into bringing some back, but I wasn't planning on checking a bag. I could just check my carry-on suitcase, but I'll need to check to make sure Alaska air allows checked alcohol. Probably will, but you never know.
    Thanks for the suggestions!
Might also have a bit of time in Boston to grab a beer with an early dinner. I had a harpoon IPA which I thought was alright, but nothing special. I expected it to be hoppier. Any other suggestions there?

Heady topper is rated the #1 beer in the country. It is probably the most drinkable DIPA ever. It is only sold in one area in vermont, and most of the time you have to wait a hour or two to be guaranteed a case, so it isn't that easy to get. If your in Boston keep your eye out for trillium, or better yet go visit the brewery. Their website list the locations that occasionally had trillium on draught. They only sell bottles in like 4-5 stores in the boston area, but you can buy bottles and fill growlers at the brewery. They have a bunch of great beer but the stand out for me is called congress street IPA, it has THE best nose on it. Rated a 99 on BA, It is one of my favorite new england beers right now and that says alot, we have some world class brewerys here in new england. Other good MA stuff is wormtown be hoppy, nightshift morph and whirlpool, jack abbys has some solid brews. Nightshift morph is worth seeking out, the beer is a different recipe every time, thats why they call it morph.
Edit: they are releasing a new batch today at 3pm at the brewery in everett

Oh man, so I definitely have a few hours to kill in Boston and trillium brewery is basically right next to south station so I can stop by before I get on the silver line to the airport. Perfect!
Pliny, I found finest kind locally in the supermarket so I can grab that or something from trillium. The congress street IPA sounds like the one to get, though!

You won't be disappointed! Mettle is very good, i will probably drink my last one tonight! Fort point pale ale is also really good. If you bring anything home it should probably be congress street, it is a world class IPA IMO.

Speaking of beer that is better than heady, this guy has some beer that blows heady away
