Jon would be a good ride, Since he went from a basic shock on his 6" lift to a Icon, he has a good before / after feel he can elaborate on.

Jake would be a good one as well. Jake had Fox's on all 4 corners and he beat the living piss out of that truck. He now has all Icon.

Josh went from OME to Kings.

Patrick is another who beats his truck with Kings.

And Jaime has gone from Mid travel Icon's to Long travel, and has ridden in most people's trucks, so he should have some good first hand exp. as well.

We clear a 285/70/17 with no rubbing and no trimming when you use the right backspace wheel.

I'm assuming a 4.5 backspace and wheelspacers such as Spidertraxx?

Nope, 4.75" backspaced Methods. The Spacers would cause rubbing.

Stock Tacoma is 5.75", SO the methods push it out 1". Allows clearance of the bigger tire w/o rubbing the UCA.

5" and 4.5" backspace will work as well. The 4.75" is ideal.

Thanks for the clarification. That works perfect then because I really dig the Method Mesh's in a 17" and that has a 4.75 backspacing.

What kinda deal can you work on a wheel, tire, and icon lift for a TW member?

Just ask for a ride at the next meet. There is usually a little of everything from 5100s to MT to LT.

    Mesh's are sexy!!

I had a preloaded Pro comp 6" lift. It was cranked and on huge blocks when I bought it and it was miserable to drive on and off road. I started a thread, visited local shops and accidentally stumbled across SDHQ on my way back to work from lunch. I worked with Jason and he had a lot of sound advice. He showed me all my options and offered many of them. Because my lift was specific I had two pre manufactured options to replace my coils, ICON and King. I decided against RRs and went with the 2.0 in the rear to save $ because I really wanted to remove my UCA and LCA. In the end it really worked out cause of Jason at SDHQ and Jason (05tacorunner's) knowledge.

With the pre load out of the fronts and a 5" Deaver leaf pack in the rear I have a mid travel drop bracket that does very well on and off road. It is a night and day difference from any DB lifted Tacoma on the road. If you want to make it out to a wheeling trip you are welcome to ride along with me.

Do y'all tune shocks too (dumb question) my Fox 2.0 rear shocks are kinda harsh over bumps.

I am running a 17 x 8.5 -6 offset with a 285/70/17 and dont have rubbing on the cab mount. Just the mud flaps. only lifted 2-3" in the front to the point where teh CV boots are not constantly rubbing with no load.
