weird texture on paint.....

just washed my taco after not washing it for abvout 2 weeks...i cali its been pretty hot and dusty and noticed this weird sandpaper-like texture on the upper half of my paint..i have no idea what teh hell it is and it is very hard to get off. it almost feels like overspray or something but its not, does anybody have an idea to what this is?

 

not exactly sure....could be where dust and pollen have settled on the paint and the dew made it kind of sandpapery. probably need to get a clay bar after it and see if that will remove all of it.

 

i've never used a clay bar ...ill try it i guess

 

just follow the directions, then be sure to polish and wax, its really not too bad....you'll love the results man!!

 

i dont know about cali but here in SC, some trees at some times of the year will drip sap, but not like you would normally think. the sap comes down in a very fine mist and can completely cover a car. the whole exterior becomes "textured". its easy to get off if you clean it right away but if you let it sit and bake in the sun you almost have to get it off with a belt sander. its a very fine texture though, sort of like what you're explaining. i dont know if that happens out west or not though. can you not get it off at all with just a good soap and elbow grease?
