Worried OME won't be "enough"

Just put a deposit on an OME suspensions kit for my 06' Tacoma that will be installed later this week. Upon arriving home i'm beginning to have regrets. I want my truck to have a noticeably different ride height (not anything crazy) and i'm realizing by looking through threads and seeing pictures that you can barely tell a difference between OME and stock. I got the Light Load version because I am not planning on having any heavy bumpers or winches. Wondering if anybody has any pictures of this setup, or recommendations of what I can do to make it a little bit higher. I was hoping to do 33 inch tires but am now realizing they wont fit.

Anyways, here's exactly what I ordered:

Lesson learned is I should do more research before putting a deposit on something. Maybe i'll cross my fingers and hope it's refundable.

You're gonna get 2 1/2" up front and 2 3/4" out back , if you're worried about it get 2 , 1/4" top plate spacers and put one on each side and you can definitely do 33" tires , tons of people on here running this exact set up

 

Noticed you don't have upper control arms in the list. To get a full 3" lift you'll need UCAs to correct for caster. Rather than a refund, add ~$700 for UCAs...

 

and get the OME 5mm trim packer for the driver's side

 

You can always add a body lift. It can be added anytime and you'll still keep your great OME setup.

I put a 1" spacer lift on mine after an OME install and love the results.

 

The OME setup doesn't appear to come with UCA's... where is the best place to order these from?

 

The 2885s aren't the light load coil. The 2884 is.

With 2 1/2 in front and 2 3/4 in back, you'll be getting a 10 to 15 percent lift over stock. That's not insignificant.

The 885/90000/Dakar package is what I'll be doing in the spring.

 

Take your pick... The Desert Products one looks like a good deal. Stainless uniball with stainless spacers for about $100 less than the other brands.

When I had my kit installed and I jumped into it the first time, it was noticeably taller. Even people walking past it on my way to the hardware store or Harbor Freight etc notice it's not stock height. The 33's help that but even when I was running the 265 rugged fails, they noticed.

 

You should be just fine with 885s, I'm about to do 884s with 285s, but I'm an access cab so that is irrelevant

I think you'll love your 885's, your getting cold feet. If you want 886 bad enough I may even trade you my 886's for your 885's, The 886's are a little bit TOO stiff at the moment!

as mentioned above though, you probably should order either 1/2 inch spacer or OME trim packer. the drivers side leans a bit more than passanger.

 

gonna need to do some trimming in the front as well to fit the 33's ... full stuff i have seen em rip flares off.

cab mount chop is in your future.

After you install this kit, go ahead and park next to a stock truck. You'll see the difference right away.

Now my 2.7l doesn't really care much for them.

 

If you did research, you would have found 5100s were the way to go
