Thanks, nice to do a couple cheap/easy mods once in a while :)

I swapped my spare one piece driveshaft in for the time being and I'll probably just keep running that for a while. The one piece is custom driveshaft made from a double cardan joint from a 4runner and is .083 wall. I plan to get the OEM one retubed to the same thickness.

May have them change the carrier bearing while it's apart so I don't have to mess with it too. Stock one's got 40k of hard miles on it and has some play in it.

How's running the rear shocks inboard been working for you? You notice more body roll on road and cornering?

Yeah one of these days I'll get around to cleaning it

To be honest not really, most of the increased body roll came from when I installed the shackle flip, I'm sure the shocks added a little bit more but I don't drive it like a racecar. I've driven it several hours on the highway to the trails and haven't had any issues and really have no regrets inboarding them, to me it was a cheap and easy solution to getting the most travel out of the rear without cutting the bed or buying some expensive shock relocation kit.

Here's a shot showing the damage on he driveshaft from wheeling the other weekend. My one piece shaft is installed and greased up I'll keep running that until I can get the stock one retubed and carrier bearing replaced.

Yeah man I say give it a shot if you are on the fence about it, worst case you can always swap to the different mounting configuration. I left the stock mounts on the axle mosty because I was too lazy to grind them off but if I ever want to go back to using them I can.

    #rockbrawlerproblems :D

dent and bent, surprisingly it drove well below 50 mph and above 60 but in between it sounded like an airplane LOL. The carrier bearing is about shot as well probably from running a couple years with a lift and beating the hell out of the truck.

Swapping the driveshaft while leaving the skid on was a PITA, could barely get leverage on the bolts but I had it swapped in about an hour.

Ah no worries man, I was bound to get caught up on something, really thought I was tipping over when my truck started going down corum sideways though where that log was haha.

Thanks for the vid! Sometimes the crawlbox ain't the answer, skinny pedal FTW :D

I posted these in the the local thread but might as well throw em up here too. Took the truck on a little camping/wheeling adventure this past weekend for the 13th annual pine barrens clean up, we collected over 4 dumpsters full of trash from the local state forests and got a chance to hit up a couple of trails on Saturday during the day and night, and a few other trails on Sunday.
