    I've been a lifelong Royals fan. They have never been to the playoffs as long as I have been alive (I was born in '86), so this run right now is absolutely incredible to me. We can only hope it keeps going!

    I'm old enough to remember the Royals winning the series in '85, I do believe they beat the Cards that year? Last game was a complete blowout if I recall, and a former Red Sox pitcher (forget who) cut up his pitching hand punching a fan. Could be wrong about the details, it was a few years back. I try to google it and check back.
