do the bilstein 5100's give an actual height increase of 2.5"?
I just scheduled the TSB with no problem. After that is done
I am buying the 5100's x4, 1" aluminum blocks, and differential drop kit for the front. Do I need the brake line extension for the rear for this? Do i need anything else?

yes they will raise your truck up to 2.5 inches. the settings are .85" 1.75 and 2.5. no you do not need extended brake lines unless you go over 3"

Everybody gets different amounts of lift with the TSB and this will settle out after time and load. I got less than an inch.

The amount of lift with the 5100's in the front is approximate. I got a full inch at the .85" setting. It should also be said that the ride firms up in proportion to the amount of lift set. At the full 2.5" setting people are saying that the ride is pretty firm.

Blocks seem to be based on personal opinions as well, some saying axle wrap in off road conditions.

You will need an alignment if you go over stock lift on the front shocks.

Best price for the Bilstein's I've found is Downsouth. Offer $10 less on make an offer and I'll bet they take it.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
also note that the 2.5" is only up front...just making sure u know that. and u dont need any line extrnsions for the rear to run that setup. i have the tsb and 2" blocks and i'm fine....i did however have to get stud extensions to run the stock shocks. hopefully the 5100's extend longer in the rear

The Bilstein sight is kinda confusing on the 5100's. One page says for lifted trucks and another says up to 2" of lift.
It worked fine on my application with just TSB. You should still be ok with 1" blocks just check and see what you get with the TSB. Allow for some settling over time and adjust the front accordingly.;)

The rear 5100's are stock length even though it says for 0-2" lift. I had my stock shocks topping out really bad after i added a 1" block to the rear which already had an aal in it. i figure its about 2" lift in the rear, and so far i've been extremely happy with them and it doesnt top out any more.
