Just wanted to do a quick intro before I start actively participating in the forums. My name is Brian and I am the new owner of a 2015 Tacoma. Got this truck after picking up a new 2104, having a few problems with it and then getting pretty much zero support from my dealer. Had to open a complaint with Toyota against the dealer and that's miraculously when the dealer because responsive.

Anyway, here's the new rig. DCSB Prerunner Sr5 V6 in Magnetic Gray. Still adjusting to the color. In some lights it looks awesome, in others it's just meh. Had the black on my 2014 and loved it, but it showed every little scratch.

Looking forward to many trouble free miles with this truck. Hopefully it holds up as well as my 226,000 mile Cherokee has.

What problems did you have with your 2014?

And what was the dealership final resolution ... the 2014 vehicle exchange for your 2015?

They delivered it to me with scratches on the hood, the alignment got out of whack within the first 1000 miles, there rear window had a sizeable blemish in it, etc. The dealer offered free undercoating and professional detailing to make up for it, then wouldn't return my calls for scheduling. After finally getting a hold of them I got set up for detailing (which they first tried to back out of), alignment and undercoating. Got the truck back with more scratches than I dropped it off with, the alignment was better but not new truck perfect and the undercoating was very poorly applied (bare spots and they didn't coat under the heat shields). I was going to let the window issues go because the rear headrest covered it up and I knew the windows would have to come out to be repaired/replaced. I complained to the manager about paying for a new truck and not getting it. He said he would swap me into a 2015 and referred me to a different saleswoman than I had the first time to kick off the process. She started off well keeping open lines of communication, but eventually failed miserably shen she wouldn't make good on speaking with manager about replacement trucks (that I had to find myself) and then stopped returning my calls all together. Then the manager then stopped calling me back as well. Left voicemail for the GM...same story. Left multiple voicemails for the VP. Didn't get a call back from him until I opened a case with Toyota. Then he finally worked with me and got me into a different truck. Was a nice guy once he realized I wasn't going to stop.

It was a standard trade. The VP openly admitted that he could have addressed the issues with the 2014, but sensed I didnt' want that. I know I took a hit by trading, but I wanted to do that instead of having a truck where multiple issues had been worked within the first two months. I was never going to be happy with that rig.

I told them not to clean the replacment truck. Picked it up on a Thursday evening and found scratches on the hood the next day. They weren't visible at night because the dirt hid them. I reported that to the VP and told him I would address it myself. No one from that dealer was ever going to touch my truck again.

Worst new car experience I've ever had. If anyone wants info on what dealer this was, PM me.

    None yet...I'm still under 1000 miles. :D

    Eventually I'll be hauling a 14' Wenzel skiff, 17' Mako or 22' Grady. :)
