Is it 5 year minimum or just a rule of thumb to wait that long? Haven't really looked into it yet

I will have the rest of the details tomorrow on the refi and when to eliminate the PMI. She said if my value keeps increasing like it has I may be able to get rid of it next year. This would be awesome. I closed on the house last December. The extra 110 a month will be really helpful. I'm either going to start paying more to my principal balance on my truck or start a HSA with my work and dump it in there. I'm getting older and medicare will be bankrupt by the time I'm retired. I have a high deductible on health insurance and it would be nice to have monies tucked away for a health related emergency. Getting old isn't fun at all...

Nice Jon. I have a little while til I have to worry about getting old.. haha.
I'll have to check into it. Not in much of a hurry just got the loan last month.

changed my brake pads last night and one of them was wearing unevenly. The outside passenger pad was more worn in the back of the pad. Is this caused by a bad caliper? or could this be caused by a bad wheel bearing?

At 21 I would say that you are doing a good job to already be in a house.

Did you rebuild the calipers or just swap pads with no rotor turn?

I have new rotors to put on but I didn't put them on after I noticed my wheel bearing was out again. I was pretty pissed and wanted to be done. I'm taking it in tomorrow for the 3rd time in 4 months and the last time it was replaced was last thursday. If it weren't for the warranty work they were doing I'd be going somewhere else.

Where can I get the stuff to rebuild the caliper?

I believe both Camelback and Avondale do 10% over cost on parts. I would do both and bleed down the system if you have over 30k on the OEM fluid. I believe in the while you are in there method :)

I'll have to check it out. I'll probably check out riverview first since they are right down the street from me.

I have maybe 5-8k on my brake fluid. I've gone through a lot trying to make sure there is no air in there. I've been dealing with soft brakes for awhile now

Steel lines are still one of my favorite mods. Go to SDHQ for those and call the dealerships for quotes on the caliper rebuild kits. Camelback Toyota isnt that far from Mesa and maybe worth the savings. I need to go get a new carrier bearing and I'm going with OEM this time. The 40$ one I got from AZ rack & axle didn't last.

Is there a noticeable difference? I've been on the fence about SS lines for awhile now.

Honestly I don't think they made all that big of a difference. Subtle at best.

I think the age of your taco really matters as to whether you will notice a difference. When I did mine, the factory rubber lines had 15 years and 220k miles on them. The SS lines gave me a noticeable difference in the peddle. I doubt newer Tacos will notice it, as their factory lines wont have deteriorated as much.

I noticed a difference for sure with mine. I know Jesse (cqb1911) just did some last weekend so maybe he will chime in since its fresh in his mind. I did hear that the all pro lines are a bitch and a half to install in the rear.

Flakes, Did you ever get yours on?

Nope still haven't got around to installing mine. Tried the one time couldnt get the bracket to sit properly to hold them on so put the stockers back on. Germ got the same ones I did and his sat in fine no problem. Im thinking it was just me. It was the first time i had ever done break lines before.

How much are the lines at sdhq? One of the guys on TW does them for like 100 shipped or something like that.
